Default Improving your online poker game

These are tips that will make you a better poker player:

    1) Multitabling:

Playing enough games so that you can make a profit per hour, just like if you were working in a real job. Only YOU can know how many tables are good enough for yourself.

    2) Splitting attention:

Playing poker at home, there are a lot more possible distractions. You have the internet, instant messaging, phones, TV, other people, and on and on. All of these things likely make it more difficult to play poker well. These distractions have to be minimized.

    3) The auto-action buttons:

DONT ever get lazy, forget those buttons are there and wait till the action comes to you.

    4) Playing tired:

If you feel like you are falling asleep, you probably shouldn’t be playing poker against a bunch of people who are wide awake and concentrating. You might make the mistake of playing tired at a casino, but it’s much easier to do at home, when your bed might be a few feet away.

    5) Be smart:

I guess most of you already know about what I wrote up there, but, how many of you actually practice all these advices at the same time?

Try it, I'm sure it will prove itself!

My main problems with my online game is definitely splitting attention.

I'm always on an instant message service.

    I'm always on NoDepositNeeded.

And I'm always listening to the radio, or a podcast.

That and then there are times when I'm just not feeling it but I play poker anyways when I know I shouldn't.

multi-tabling is very effective and all but i feel like you NEED to have a large computer screen to be watching each table at all times. so if you have a 19 inch screen or less, try not to play more than 2 tables at a time, this becomes a HUGE hassle to keep clicking back and forth and giving attention to numerous tables at one time without seeing them at all times. I have seen some friends multitable and win alot of money at one time, but they had a 21-27inch screen and had 4-6 tables going at once BUT THEY could see all of them at one time.
