I used to play on PS. Havent played on there in probably about a year, in fact my account is.... well, i just havent played in awhile. Anyways i had gotten an email that as far as i know, no on else who plays on ps that i know has gotten.

"We want to know what you know about the PokerStars VIP Club, so we're giving you the chance to put your VIP Club knowledge to the test and win VIP Player Points (VPPs)!

You could win 3,000 VPPs which automatically makes you a GoldStar VIP. All you have to do is correctly answer a few questions.

The PokerStars VIP Club Quiz should take no more than 5 minutes of your time, and if you score well, here's what you could win:

75% of questions correct will get you 1,200 VPPs (SilverStar VIP status)
95% of questions correct will get you 3,000 VPPs (GoldStar VIP status)"

I prty much go upped to silver star for free. Wondering if anyone else has gotten this email? I presume that its some marketing ploy to get inactive players to hit the tables again, but i want to see if anyone who actually plays there frequently got something like this. So please holla back, TY

No, no scam. I was actually credited with the 1200 VPP's today (21st). I went on pstars and it said the same thing, also got an email saying they upped it. Looks like im special ... or just a randomly chosen name outta millions :-p.

In all honesty, im quite certain that it is a marketing thing to get me playing back there. Im not sure if they keep track or whatever, but ive been playing online poker pretty frequently, just not at their site. I imagine i was flagged for this promo cause of it.

Hell, itll prolly work though... they have prty good VIP program, definately rivals with tilt... might even be better. Good toureys, and the WCOOP is comin up soon..... damn, they got their hooks in me!!

i know for a fact pokerstar has a marketing team and they send random promo's or money to players that are not actived!!!!!
