    Default Need your Help

Man Im still in a funk. I can't win a smple sitngo much less a mtt and I usully win multilple tournments a week. I tried tightening up didn't work. Got so low on chips couldn't handle one bad hand. I got loose and got slaughtered. I tried a combination and still nothing. I mean nothing I try works. Anyone with any pointers for mtt tournaments I'd like to hear maybe Ill hear something that will help my next tournamet and get me out of this funk

What I will usually do in tournament in the early stage, is pay attention to

who is doing what and what they are playing. In the first stage, I will try to

pick out the loose players and get their chips by being aggressive post flop.In

the second stage or middle stage, I will tighten up, and be very aggressive

against other tight players. If and when I make it to the third and final stage,

if I have a very large stack, I will play a combination of loose aggressive, tight

agressive, to throw of my oppenents, that way when I do have a big hand,

they wont know what to think. I will try to stay away from trouble hands

against other aggressive players, and I am usually considered tight

aggressive. It all depends what style of players im playing agaisnt, but i hope

    this helps.

well i would say if u can afford it play a low buyin rebuy tourney and donk your self for awhile. win some chips and take a win. to be hinest that usually works for me. i havent placed in a tourney in a week. but whatever it happens. just play smart if tip #1 doesnt work. good luck to u and i grant u the lucky stick. if any one donks u out then smack em with it. lol

like eejit said you need to take a break. 1 day 1 week or a month. get away from the table and clear you head. your just throwing money away at this time. many time before when i was running bad that i just took a few days off and came back and was killing it again. when you take a break your not losing any money so just do it and come back next week and tell us how well your doing after a few days off.

better plan ban yourself for 48 hours from all poker rooms and then start fresh after a 2 day break. it works done it before.

If you have a winning history (Large sample size), then I would suggest taking a trip to a Turkish Bath. Relax, hit the steam room, sauna, and hot masseuse. Cleanse the beats and (Perhaps poor play) out of your system. It will all come back, just leave the door open.

I would take a break like most of the people here are saying. But while taking your break, don't think about what you have lost or what you are trying to gain from your game. I wouldn't even think about poker to be honest with you.

Sometimes I take breaks to get away from it because sometimes online poker gets to me and I start laughing at the bad beats. In a way, there's nothing you can do if you are making the right moves when you lose. Those could just be cold streaks but when you think that you are not going to win a SNG or MTT within the next couple of days. You will find yourself playing differently and not up to your full potential. That is when the break is needed.

Take a look at your hand histories and see what your patterns are after your break and notice when you get your money in behind or make bad reads. The hand history is there for your benefit
