Default Pokerstars Getting Back at FTP

Well as i figured earlier today pokerstars isnt to happy with FTP running their

tourny for the record. As stated by Kaci they ran 5 $1000 freeroll just to

prove a point to FTP that they will hold the record and always will. Funny

thing is 5 is the FTP promo going on right now. Here is a list of the 5 freerolls

pokerstars had going and the amount of people that showed up for them

    1pm: 40,000 players
    2pm: 40,009 players
    3pm: 53,964 players
    4pm: 57,700 players
    5pm: 61,259 players

the funny thing about this all is the winner of the freeroll's got $30. lot of

work for little pay if you ask me.

i am wondering what is ftp going to do now with pokerstars basicly pissing on

them. will they bump up the max amount of people allowed in their record

breaking tourny. i would only imagine since pokerstars has the new record at

61,259 if the freerolls count. i think this might get ugly. i think the real

winners here are the poker players.

I think the real winners would be the poker players if they upped the prize money a little bit.

I mean if this many people are turning up to play for a thirty dollar first prize why not reward them and throw an extra 1000$ in for the players.

The poker sites do rake in enough money.

    Anyone agree with me?

Pokerstars just made a fool of themselves. Is that really all they will reward their players for playing in such a large tournament?
For first place in the fulltilt record breaker it is a 45k payday, 2nd is 31k, and so on. Way better reward for fulltilt players, plus this isnt a freeroll.

I am gonna be in the fulltilt record breaker tourny by the way, so wish me luck

I want to be in it.

If only I had the money.

Maybe I'll get it if I run good in black jack in the ndn casino like I was earlier.

Hopefully it's not a once in a lifetime performance.

    Wish me luck.

What does the record breaker start again?

Here is the tournament ID number which you can search in the request tab at FT: 99219444. Hope you are able to make it in, it has a great prize pool structure.

not really. pokerstars is making a fool out of ftp. pokerstars did the same

thing a few months ago to set the record. well ftp is trying to break their

record, so what does pokerstarts do? they run $1000 fr to set the reocrd

even higher to over 60k+ people. ftp will have to change their format to

even have a shot to beat that since the max for ftp is 50k people. anyways

look at this in a good way for poker player. what happens when you have

to gas station next to each competing for your business. one is always going

to be lower then the other. so if i were you would keep my eye open on

these to sites to see what happens next.

    its funny.

And why shud the sites give more money away?

Whats funny is the FT game is a buyin, with loads of free sattelites. I regged for one, sat out, and qualified. Fun times. Then i unregged.

why not give the money way. both want to have the record and both seem to be willing to do whatever it takes. anyways ftp will lose in this battle. when wil theother sites just realize pokerstars is biggest and remain the biggest.

FT has their work cut out for them certainly, But at least it is a 500k guareenteed tournament. lets say FT or PS put up half that in a freeroll say 250k, with a 100,000 field max. I really think it would max out, or be near compacity.

The one thing I can say about FT or pokerstars, is that is all those hours worth the effort?

Better yet, I'll post this as a thread.
