I have been a gambling card player since I was 14. I didn't need a job until I was almost

20, although I had one since I was 16, because I learned to play with a bunch of guys who

played everyday. At anytime of day or night I could find a dirty no limit house game. Now I

have been a degenerate gambler for nearly 20 years and to suddenly lose interest baffles

me. Its not as if my last few experiences at the tables were bad. In fact I walked away a

with about $500 last time I played a live game. Sometimes I get the urge to check out a

quick game online but, I can't seem to concentrate on it. I lose interest, and therefore my

chips, in a short period of time. It's like I've almost grown fearful of losing at the table and

I don't know how to shake it off.

Ideas?

Thoughts?
I think you may be just needing to cool it with poker for a while.

If you've been playing poker for 24 years so you've had a lot of experience and maybe you are just worn out of playing for the time being.

It's not a bad thing to be afraid to lose because it keeps you from going broke and not risking everything you have including the shirt off your back.

But you can't play being scared either.

At least that's my opinion, and my advice.

So I hope it was the least bit hopeful.
