    Default Please critique my game

I have been changing my game for about 3 weeks now.
I would appreciate those of you that have played against me to critique my game, just in case I am over looking a weakness that I need to address.

Thanks everyone, that's what you are here for.

    Tell it like it is.

you are playing a good tight aggresive game ringo. Not many things you can say against it. I think your Hu you need to be more aggresive than you where today, even though you won. You seem willing to let the opponant get a free card and not make him pay for it when he just checks. Maybe I am wrong but a bet blind size seems better than checking to him. Treat them all like they are little bears. LOL

Cant really complain. I love your AK limp/shove yesterday, mainly as you got it from me but i still love it.

HU you didnt capitalise enough on the double you got early, even 2 blind steals gets her under 2k and you can walk it then.

Aside fromt hat, the only thing i saw wrong was shoving the QQ from the small blind vs me in the BB. Im foldin most hand therre to shoves as were ont he bubble. So if u just called, i coulda easily shoved over to steal and you snap call and take me out.

QQ shove in my mind there was to prevent you from trying to steal with Ace rag or KJ or something.
I was happy with just your blind.

That play for me is too dangerous to play with.
Play with fire and you might get burned.

Also my over betting there might make you think I was week.

HU I did make a few mistakes I noticed and I almost tilted afew times.
I thought of all the advice I had gotten and beared down and intensly focussed.
That was my biggest achievement of the game.
I am proud of my fortitude. Thanks

I didn't see the QQ shove but think about it this way....they only way hes calling from the BB is if he has you beat Aka AA KK or possibly AK....so i don't like a shove from the SB there vs the BB...and if you just limp hes not gonna be shoving AA or KK and if its a weak ace or KJ thats exactly what you want to be way ahead and have him drawing to 3 outs...if you run into AA KK or Ak there and lose you just got cold decked...i would love to be in a dominating position late vs someone with QQ vs kj or Ace rag

Makes me think about alot of things.

It was my 4500 chips SB vs 1400 chips BB.

    blinds were 50/100

    My thought is this:

If I limp I give him a free flop (ahead or not, I don't want him to see a free flop. If I raised 300, he would more than likely fold, but if he called and an Ace or King flopped, I would not know were I was in the hand and Eejit only with 1100 chips left could go all in and then where am I.

I will take the 100 chips everytime in that situation. again again and again.

It is rather refreshing to know that alot of players want to get into a big pots. I try to avoid showdowns at all costs.
No 2 cards are safe in poker.

Does anyone else share my views in this regard?

or do I need to write a book haha

Free I will agree with you on taking down little pots vs dropping a big one.

I think if you raised to 5x the bb (almost 1/2 of eejits stack) he will only call with big hands. If he calls and an A or K flops you have to check fold your big hand. It happens once in a while, but it gives you more potential to increase your stack. If you get a flop with J's and below and it connects with part of eejits hand he might push, trying to double, and you can call and take him out.

I haven't seen you play much so I can't comment on your overall playing style or any improvements you made.

As a thought, do you use a tracker of some sort? If not, you might want to consider finding one you like and using it. Most will tell you how tight or loose you are and if you are showing down too much with second best hands. I got one a few years back and it improved my game greatly.

5X bet there does make alot of sense there.
    The tracker idea is intriguing.

Can you post a link for us?

I never heard of tracking before.

The link to the site is here:

PokerTracker - Online Poker Tracking & Analysis Software Tool

It is a wonderful tool to use in both tournaments and cash games. If covers most of the common poker sites. I helped me increase my profit in cash games 100%. I haven't used it much for tournaments, but there is loads of information in it, if you are willing to take the time and learn the software. They offer a 60 day free trial to their newest system, which is very user friendly. If you do download it, feel free to ask me any questions you have.
