Since one of our newest members brought up the subject I thought I would just like to get everyone's opinion and to stay my own as well.
I am a republican.
Now after saying that I will tell you something else, I am a Republican, who supports *** marriage, and why the United States of America, supposedly the best country in the world, to ourselves maybe, won't legalize the act of *** marriage, is somewhat confusing and discouraging to me.
Honestly I support *** marriage because a majority of An Opposite Marriage, between a man and a woman, can offend me more than A Same-Sex Marriage has the ability.
I am also a Christian.
I'm not necessarily a good Christian, but I'm a Christian and it is my belief that I am not allowed to judge another man or woman, but that, that is God's job and act of power alone, so really why not let people who are attracted to the same sex get married.
My best friend is a lesbian and I have no problem with it and just because she wants to sleep with another woman does not disregard herself and her mind as less of a human than the rest of us, and that's what makes me mad about the USA not letting marriage between same sex unions be legal.
That's just my opinion.
And also The Law is seperated from Religion so should marriage be excempt from this and no longer considered a religious binding agreement, and just a business like agreement.
That's something I've always wondered because the bible thumpers I know always say "God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve" and it irritates me so.
If they say the are wanting to protect the sanctity of marriage they should look at the couples that are married that I know and take their license and give it to a same sex couple because they will treat it better than the straight people I know will.
That's all my opinion and I had to blow off some steam so sorry if it's too long, I had a lot to say on the matter.
