When eejit says Im a looser or a bad player I really belive it!!!
I hate to post this but I did read a poker post or two. You can't ever play the same way twice, or you can if want to. But what you really have to do is act up and behave, but not at the same time. You have to vary all aspects of your game. You have to vary your style and you have to play to win!
I agree with Know, that you want a have a certain amount of variance when youre playing poker, however, i still believe that there are a foundational set of skills and strategy that you should possess regardless of tournement or stakes or scenario, whatever. The best advice that i ever got from the site, was from a little blurb from eej and NDN. I wrote a post about implied/pot odds, and a lil about position, stating what i knew, and what i didnt know. NDN gave some good advice, insofar as what information in important at what time. In particular: I asked about pot odds and when it would play more a decision in your action. He said that in cash games pot odds are infinitely more important, because you can always add chips to your bankroll. Whereas in a tournament, basing your decision on pot odds is not always the best thing, for various reason (see post Implied odds) It wasnt so much that information as the idea behind it. Pot odds, position, playing style, table, are all important; their importance just varies at different times, and its noticing those certain instances, to assign certain values to the information you gathered, thats going to make you successful in the long run. Its not so much what information you gather from hand to hand, but what value you assign to it and how you USE it. And with that idea alone, my play is more methodical, is more patient, and most important of all, is PRODUCING. So much obliged guys, ill have some more inquiries once i hit another wall, if it should happen.
Thanks for reading it!
And i forced NDN to make that postFirst time for evyerhting!
Yes! I'm a part of history now!
