River killed my AA

Took a shocking river beat the other day with my AA.

I’m holding AA raised the pot pre-flop to 20 dollars, get 2 callers.
Flop 8A8, nut FH so I bet 10 dollars to get callers, one folds.
Turn K, both of us check.
River 8.

I Bet 40 dollars he goes allin 130 dollars.
Have to call…
And he’s holding k8.

Pretty gutsy call (maybe stupid) with a k8......... I was all in pre flop with aa, aginst 2 people, 10 j off and and q j off, and of course the river brings the str8 for the 10j. Gotta be able to take those beats and move on, not much ya can do, ruining your computer and surrounding equipment as tempting as it may be is not recomended.

1. Check or bet 1/2 the pot ont he flop, i know u want callers but a weird bet looks exactly that, weird. id bet $25 if i dont check, i.e if the opp is a LAGtard.


2. Bet the king, if he called the flop he has Ax or an 8, so he will call the turn bet.

3. why the frig did u bet the river? Now a hand beats you, and its looking ikely he may have it, you check/call the river. Yes if he pushes u have to call IMO, but still, betting on a scare card aint the way forward.
