Here's a tip that should help most people in this forum, one of the biggest mistakes I see (especially in live tournaments when blinds are rediculous).

(note: M= the number of orbits it will take at the current blind level before youve antied/blinded out)

If your M= 6 or less, NEVER NEVER NEVER raise preflop, then fold!!! In fact you should just be shoving most decent hands and only raising the premiums to induce more action.

Warning: you will be called a bad player alot with this strategy, but only by bad players.

Well said. That's why I shoved with my 10's and the limper behind me had aces lol It sucks but I'm not sure how else I could have played that hand.

It was either shove or fold really, because I wanted people to fold and be up against 2 people with an Ace. I guess I was really just hoping for a coin flip.... Is that true or not?

No... as your M in that situation was 13.

If you M is 13, youve got ages left.

He is talking about M=5 or less.

Ive used M's to describe certain plays for ages, just ask ffcowoy when i was railing him in his recent final table.

As for your Tens sassy, id have limped behind and folded ont he flop. Pushing there makes no sense, your either gonna win the 250 preflop, or if your called your 80% of the time behind, or vs AK/AQs.

I would like to take this opportunity to state that merge sucks for tournaments. That is all.
