What is Ringos secret ingredient in his famous chili?

Second place was a rattlesnake chili.
My chili has a secret ingredient that makes it super hot.
Can you guess what it is?

i just got done making my chili and it is simmering.

pinto beans
kidney beans
diced stewed tomatoes
chopped celery
garlic
seasonings /chili powder
salt and pepper
a little jalapena powder (new) bought it at railroad days and have to try it
1/3 teaspoon of secret ingredient

The answer is Celery seed.
yes crushed celery seed makes your chili hot without your mouth being on fire. Made my nose run when I ate some today.
Try it sometime.
But don't use your coffee grinder for the seeds.
You'll be sorry
