Default Twitter..starting to get on me nerves

I have people who I don't know adding me and then carbon sends about 5-6 messages in one day. I thought okay 1 , maybe 2 is fine but gee ..just run up the bill why don't you. Can't even get some sleep around here without the phone ringing from carbon. Getting as bad as my g/f now.

I think you just turn the sms off. I don't think we have to use it. I don't know it's my first time on that site and I really can't see what's so special about it. It's good for those text messaging freaks who can never put a phone down but me I hate the dang phone. Only, in a emergency do I love the phone.

As for me, I have this wonderful technology called DIAL UP internet so my phone never ever rings unless I want it to. Because I am connected to the internet all of the time unless I chose. People have just gave up on trying to call. The just email me now or Call my cell phone which gets NO service where I live so I check the messages at my leisure! I say don't let it drive you nuts turn off the ringer and let the machine get it if it is important or they will talk! Turn up the volume on the recorder and if you like you answer if not don't.

Yep it on one hand keeps me sane because the phone does not ring. and on the other hand it is as slow as a seven year itch. Which makes me crazy. It's a push, no win situation. I guess I would call it a happy medium. But it has a use! Yes...lol

Okay that's its going to play these two freerolls than cancel my twitter page. Driving me nuts now. Once a day should be fine but 4/5 messages a day come on. Just plain down right annoying. Better go check to make sure I have unlimited texting lol

    I have 809 remaining

Do you know what this reminds me of I purchased a Wal-Mart Visa and every single day whether or not I use it it sends me 3 emails to tell me my balance. and three text messages to my cell phone telling me the exact same thing. For Christs sake, what is the point. I could see it if it had been used but not even left my house. No joke every single day. Bug the hell out of me.

Twitter is the devil. With its explosion, it's going to be particularly bad teaching this fall. I'm going to have to lay down the law about no tweeting in class. I already had to implement a no text messaging rule. A longstanding rule is that if your cell phone goes off then I get to answer it, and I talk dirty to whoever is on the other line. That happened once to this very religious rural girl whose cellphone went off, I started yelling "me so horny" into it, and it turned out to be her grandfather. He failed to see the humor in the situation.

One of my Psychology teachers last semester was firm about text messaging and telephones. It was stated in her syllabus and she said it on the very first day of class. If she sees one person text messaging of any kind or heard the hint of one cell phone, that she possessed the right to give the entire class a pop quiz. Fortunately our class was never given one. However two of her other classes had the joy of taking one.

Just an idea for you as it seemed to work well for her.

One of the guys I work with was talking about this new girl that he is dating. He said that his criteria for another date was that she was not a member of twitter or facebook. He said that he doesn't want to talk about that stuff and that whomever he is dating should not be talking about it either. He's probably mid-40s or so. Sounds like he is going for the younger crowd!
