    Default Transformers 2

Bear in mind i went alone, as the first one is one of my all time top 5 favourite movies.... I expected a fair amount but not alot.

    However......

This film is catergorically the best film ive seen in 10-15 years.

Only other ones i can think of that were "as good", are Casino Royale, Transformers 1, Shawshank.

Seriously, if you havent seen this one, or the first one, go watch both.

If you thought the first one was ok, or didnt like it, go watch it again.

I can link you to it for free online.

Im in shock, it was literally over 2 hours or sheer brilliance. (after the first 15 minute intro)

wow. 15 years is a long time, its over half of my life... It must have been some kinda groundbreaking stuff, because casino royale was definately that. I was only moderately into the first movie, which is to say i enjoyed it but wasnt really diehard (id prefer casino royale). But i imagine within the next 3-4 hours Ill be watching it. Its solely on your recommendation, as i wouldnt really have done it without seeing your posts about it. hope youre right!! your last movie selection was dy no MITE

They should have put the scene in the movie where the Labuff kid gets out of bumble bee staggering drunk after crashing him into a telephone pole

I want to go see this movie so bad. I have not yet, so if any one posted spoilers I would not know. I read the first post alone. I will update this thread to let you guys know when I go see it. To have it put in your top 5 though. That's wow, I've got to see it.

I would like to see who else besides Eejit thinks this is the best movie in 10 years. I haven't read a good review yet. cept for Eejits

    Roger Ebert writes:

"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" is a horrible experience of unbearable length, briefly punctuated by three or four amusing moments. One of these involves a dog-like robot humping the leg of the heroine. Such are the meager joys. If you want to save yourself the ticket price, go into the kitchen, cue up a male choir singing the music of hell, and get a kid to start banging pots and pans together. Then close your eyes and use your imagination.

Aware that this movie opened in England seven hours before Chicago time and the morning papers would be on the streets, after writing the above I looked up the first reviews as a reality check. I was reassured: "Like watching paint dry while getting hit over the head with a frying pan!" (Bradshaw, Guardian); "Sums up everything that is most tedious, crass and despicable about modern Hollywood!" (Tookey, Daily Mail); "A giant, lumbering idiot of a movie!" (Edwards, Daily Mirror). The first American review, Todd Gilchrist of Cinematical, reported that Bay's "ambition runs a mile long and an inch deep," but, in a spirited defense, says "this must be the most movie I have ever experienced." He is bullish on the box office: it "feels destined to be the biggest movie of all time." It’s certainly the biggest something of all time.

You couldn't pay me to see it. I am so sikc of these kinds of movies. They are also bad for filmmaking as a whole, because they prevent more little films from being made. Hollywood says big films pay for small artsy films, but that's a bunch of crap; they just pay for more big budget films.

You are right eej. Shawshank and Casino Royal are both awesome movies, I own them both and watch them frequently, but Transformers takes the cake I think! My kids watch it and the new Incredible Hulk over and over and I never get sick of either one of them. I still haven't had the chance to see Transformers 2, but I can't wait!
