when is it a good time to agree to a chopped tourny ...three players .. two say lets quit and split winnings you have to agree .. is there a good time to say yes?... no?...

There are many times this play is good and many times when this play is bad. If you are sitting first and are in a good position to win, chopping can be bad. If you are in last and close to going out, chopping is great. It all depends on the terms of the chop. This is where the negotiations begin. Most players only chop when the pay out get's around the 10's of thousands of dollars. You don't see chops very often in a smaller buy in tournament.

A very debatable question here I think. Depends much on how you interpret your skill level compared to the remaining field, your chip position, the conditions of the chop, many times they reserve a percentage for the winner regardless, and your financial needs at the time. I usually think a chip chop is the most appropriate, and as long is everyone is content with how far they have made it, particularly when the blinds are really high and its all dice from here on out, then it will be a good time to chop it up, however, if someone has nothing to lose, or everything to lose, then they might not want to chop, and it has to always be agreed upon by all of the remaining players. My friend took a chip chop at the end of a Sunday Million, even though he felt like he had the table locked down and had a good shot for first, because he said they had grinded down to the levels being so high that they each had like 15-25 BB, which will obv make for some crap shooting, and when you are in for 200 looking at 70-150K with a chip chop, then sometimes you just want to take it how it is so you don't have anything to be bitter about later. However, if you've got the table covered, you got your opponents figured out, and there is still room for stack variance, I would just play it out. If it doesn't work out, then tough luck, you gave it your best shot.

well i have never seen a tourney chopped. is this a house game. do they allow this in a live tourney? is the is legit? has anyone ever had this happen to them. if 2 wanted to quit i would say go ahead im still gonna play. it seems funny if those 2 can judge what u win. wow i would be pissed.
