Being one of the "analyzers" you referred to in your post I feel compelled to answer. I'm not hear to push a style of play on you, rather teach you the math that is behind poker. The math doesn't change, regardless of what style you play. If you are loose aggressive, loose passive, tight aggressive, tight passive, or any style in between the math of chasing a draw or winning a hand doesn't change. Most of us are not trying to get you to play a certain way, but try to explain a way to allow you to make money so you can continue to play poker without hurting your wallet. If you have the money to continuously deposit on a site, feel free to do so. I'm going to assume that most of us are here to play poker on a limited budget, therefore playing winning poker allows you to play more poker for your money.

Seeing as most of you are here to whine and cry when you run into another poor player, I will quit analyzing hands on this site.

his long post. I did mock him and I see it spilled over on to you. I am sorry.
Honestly, I haven't read but a few of your posts and I don't know you well enough to diss you in any way. I wanted Eejit to understand that some
of us can't be taught, don't want to learn, can't comprehend or just don't care. So don't complain about the # of responses you get, just stay true to yourself Eejit. If one persons gets something out of it, then it's worth it.

Here's the deal. I feel part of eejit's pain. It's not that people don't respond to his posts, but rather the people asking for advise don't follow it. If you keep track of who posts what and how they play after people give them advise you will see it too. As I said before, I'm not out to change your playing style, rather help you understand the math which explains why lots of things in poker happen. You are dealt two cards and what you do with them is your business, but I fell a bit of pain when I compose a long response to someone and see them posting another hand 2 weeks later that fits exactly into what I explained to them 2 weeks earlier. Instead of learning the lesson that they were asking for they continued to do the same thing, even after having it explained to them. I'm pretty sure eejit, as well as myself, is frustrated with that very thing. I don't have a vested stake in if you make a profit, but would really like to see my friends do well.

well i enjoy all the talk and tips. i dont use it all but i try my damndest to take it all in. sometimes it can be tough with all the info. but i still appreciate it.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I have a short memory and I find it easier to live in the now than remember the past. Eejit encourages me to post more poker related posts sometimes. I do like to read different responses
from current live people instead of reading archives. You can understand that. I am more social minded than others. Thanks for your responses ffcowboy and I will read your posts when I can.
I have to say that so much of the math talk goes right over MY head.

Ringo, if the math goes over your head, ask for more input. There are many different ways to explain the same thing.

All I personally want to see is all the people I help be successful at this great game. No matter what you say, most people on here play poker to make a profit. If it's $10 a month or $1000 a month. If you were not playing to make money you wouldn't care if you got donked out on.

I know a player that consistantly throws money at the big prize, it makes her
feel like a winner. I witnessed her at least 12 games in which I played with her, rebuy up to 17 times. We played in a bounty game with an average of 9 players, where you could double rebuy for $5 each and the top 5 paid.
However, there also was a monthly bounty contest attached with a$300 1st prize. Well this player averaged at least 8 rebuys a night and donked called everthing. She pissed me off so bad so many nights that I quit playing in that game all together. She took second in the month contest.
The 1st place guy talked and talked and analyzed every hand. I never seen anybody talk that much in my life. He pissed everybody off.
Nobody said a word at the table ever, except the chat box continued to move with the 1st place player calling the plays. I actually befriended the talker and loath the donkey.
I have some deep poker scars that I am working on healing.
