Here is the problem that I see, but keep in mind you hit the 2 outter to get back ahead. I think your raise preflop set you up to get sucked out on. Looking at the pot let's look at the odds you gave him to make the call. Coming around the table it went fold, fold, SB call (he's getting 3 to 1 to complete). You raise it to 2x the bb, making the pot 3 bb's. The SB is again getting 3 to 1 to make the call. If he did it as his first action, he will do it again. If you make it 3x the bb he is only getting 2 to 1 and he might actually fold. On the flop you can't see him hitting his 2 pair, but a straight should certainly scare you. The bet by the SB on the flop was 2/3 the pot. If you show some strength here you are gonna get insta-called in this particular hand and possible lose the hand, however if he has AQ or KQ he might fold to a strong raise on that flop, figuring you have an overpair or the straight.

Overall I think your biggest mistake came preflop when you didn't raise very much. By not raising you put yourself in a dangerous position and fishing to 6 outs, possibly only 4 to chop if he has KJ and already has the straight. I don't see any errors on the flop or turn, based on the particular hands, but it could of been alot worse.

Would it be worth it if he lost his entire stack? You don't make a play to win a big pot, but rather to just win a pot. It's a bad example to prove the point I was trying to make, but the point I'm trying to make is that you don't want to let people get into hands against your pocket pairs for cheap. Make them pay to try to out flop you.
