For those of you who don't know...
I work at a salon and do hair and nails sometimes.

So today I was cutting this woman's hair and as I was cutting it, I accidentally cut my finger!! I know right, how dumb! lol but it was horrible because I started bleeding everywhere.

I didn't get any blood on the woman but I looked like a complete fool in front of everyone and my friends AND boss.

My boss then told me that I can't do that ever again and kind of threatened me with my job. I couldn't believe that I cut my finger first of all, then she threatens me with my job. Isn't that a little over the top?

I mean yea, I work in a great salon that usually has high end customers come in on a weekly basis. But seriously, that shouldn't be a consideration for being fired should it?!

Maybe I will move to the U.K. and work for Eejit101 lol

If you do get fired for it, or feel your under more pressure or anything, ask for a copy of your contract and your job Description/rules of employment.

If it says nothing about accidental cutting of fingers you have grounds for wrongful dismissal and other work related wrongdoings.

As for coming here - feel free. You pay the flight, i can cover you while your here for a bit

It was an accident and you are human. To de-humanize you by your boss is
stupid and wrong. Hold you head high tomorrow and be proud of being human.
People love people that are real, not phoneys like your boss seems to be.

Sorry about your day. Sounds like your boss is pretty Bill Lumbergh off of Office Space. I need a haircut, can you help me out? Girls like it, but it's way too hot & humid in Missouri. In a girls opinion, should I just Bic it? Classic Bruce Willis? I want it to be a suprise, so let me know just to make sure I don't anger the old lady.

Bic is only hot on a select few, so I would need some pictures. I tend to lean for something clean but rough around the edges. A Bradd Pitt look is a great style. Take note of his hair in most of his movies and see if that's your gigg.

Clean and Free style, is the way for most women.

As far as cutting your hair, I would either need to go there or you come here and I don't think I'm that talented. Are you rich or something!?! lol gosh.

If you were near I would certainly cut your hair however you wished though. As long as you're not a stalker! ; )

I prob won't be able to make any road trips just to get the hairs cut. But thank you for the offer if I'm ever down for such an investment. Good hair cutters are hard to find, so sometimes you just have to result to the Wahl buzz cutter. Its a real work of art, I think it is supposed to be used on animals or something, but it gets the job done. Anyway, I am doing my best to get to know everyone on this site, so I'm glad to have met you, and look forward to following up on your posts, and playing with you in the future NDNPTs.

well she cant fire u for cutting your finger but she can fire u for cutting your finger witha customer. it is considered hazardous. like what i mean is no one knows what diseases u have(not saying u have any) but it is worth a warning as you got. imagine if u got blood all over that lady then the salon u work for is liable for a lawsuit. and thats why she said that because she doesnt want one. it would be a losing cause and the only way around it is to agree upon a settlement which could cost hundreds of thousands. well at least in california it would. ill be honest i know it sounded like **** but she has the right to fire on the spot when something like that happens. contract or not. eejit she just applied she doesnt sign a contract unless she rents the seat. well at least u didnt get sued look at it that way.
