Setting my Mom straight

I just got off the phone with my Mom and we talked about Politics.
We never talk politics. I finally got tired of her narrow perspectives on things
and told her what I really thought. She complained that Obama is really scaring her and that the country is heading towards socialism. I argued that Obama is a puppet and has very little to do with it. Our Country is run and owned by powerful bankers. She complained about our debt to China. I told her that we only owe like .03 % of our wealth to China. I then asked her how many 18-40 year olds she knew and what do they want? She said "socailism, but our kids have been indoctrinated for years to except this change". I said that all our kids will have health care and
a college education under a new plan. I then added that they would all have to do 2-4 years of military service as part of that plan. She said, "That would be good"

Wow she doesn't even hear her own hipocracy.
She answered her own questions and fears.
She is fearful of Obama and blames him for the mess we are in and the direction our Country is headed. Yet she believes that we have been indoctrinated for years. That tosses out Obama.
She doesn't support socialism, yet supports our kids doing manditory military duty.
She just turned 70 and I love her to death, but it's time to stand up to the old guard because they don't see things the way the rest of us do.

i think it is way to early to judge obama. ill tellu this he is way better than bush. i freakin hated that guy. obama is way better up to this point. i think in 2 years opinions will change.
