thats retarded, why would you want to pay out the worst players? only bad players would play in a tourney like that...
yea thats where i saw it.. i think it was for some poker tokers forum. Ya see, the prize payout is crazy because there all tokin weed, get it... But yea, thats definately good to throw in the mix, wouldn't want that to be the usual thing though :-/. Theres definately something to playing against everybody, whether it be bragging rights for some :-p, or just generally trying to play better, and having the people that you talk to everyday help by playing sharp. Honestly i dont know how itd work if you were trying to place in the bottom rung... wouldnt everyone just fold till the blinds got big?? the more i think about it now, the more i think itd be tough to work out... seriosuly. EEej im kinda interested now in how you would manage to play a game like that and not have everyone just fold around... i wish i was a mathematical genius :-(
wow... never heard of it before.,..
thats crazy...
Would be fun I think... if it was a freeroll..lol..
being on the money is already hard sometimes...
having luck to get the best place than would be almost imposible...
Hope to see some new things..
Its simple. If you goal is to lose chips, youd think "Oh, ill just go all in with garbage, get called, and lose" Right?
Wrong.
I had to put alot of thought into the betting for each hand. Preflop raising is fine, as if you get called then your on to the flop, if you get raised you just fold and give them the extra chips TYVM.
Now on the flop its different. If your 1st to act then only bet if youve missed. check/call if you hit it slightly, and check/fold if you hit big.
The thing about cake, which made it harder, is you cannot fold with no action, so if your 1st to act ont he flop you cant just fold your hand instantly, you have to fold to a bet.
I did it by simply calling his BB, he pushes for a bit more, i fold. Repeat this a few times, let him raise to try and get all in behind, and keep folding.
I ended up getting 3rd by some slight luck.
The chip leader and the shorterstack went all in. I "look down" and find K3 i think it was.
Now if i fold, and the CL wins, im 2nd for sure with a big chip loss, unless i can beat them HU, which is likely, but as a 5-1 dog your mostly gonna lose.
If i call, and lose, im 3rd and everyone is happy. If i call and win, im just ahead in chips and i play HU.
Was a simple call. I flopped a king, someone else had a pair, one guy was drawing dead. Luckily for me the river gave them trips (i had 11 outs to lose the hand) and i came 3rd.
Its not so much math as advanced play strategy.
when i posted i really thought i would have a shot if it came about.. but reading so far it could be a harder and more mind stressing game than holdem straight up!!!
