Default e-mail scam to get moneybookers info

this is the email i recieved
    Dear Moneybookers Member,

Your account is locked for outgoing transfers and credit/debit card payments therefore we cannot complete this transaction.

To unlock your account, you must restore your account. Please visit unlock.moneybookers.com and submin your information..

    Thank you for choosing Moneybookers!

    *******************************

Moneybookers Ltd., London, Registered in England and Wales no 4260907.
Registered office: Welken House, 10-11 Charterhouse Square, London, EC1M 6EH, United Kingdom.
Authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority of the United Kingdom (FSA).
before clicking the link or doing anything else i contacted moneybookers
    this is reply:
    dear xxxx xxxxx
Thank you for contacting Moneybookers customer support.

We can confirm that this e-mail message received earlier has nothing to do with Moneybookers at all.

We do also confirm that the e-mail message that you have received was a scam and it intended to steal personal and financial information from Moneybookers customers.

Please excuse us for any inconvenience caused. Please also be advised to change your password immediately if you have inserted your login details on that phishing website. Please note that the website this link redirects you to is not Moneybookers.com - Send Money - Receive Money - Online Payments - Money Transfers, but something else.

Please also note that Moneybookers will always contact you with a greeting including your name and if this is a scam the message will not start with your name - that seems to be the best way to recognize whether a message is a scam or not.

We would highly appreciate if you could forward the entire email, including the link on it, to security@moneybookers.com so that we can have our Security Team shut down that phishing link.

Finally, please be kindly informed that your Moneybookers account is not suspended and is fully operational.

We thank you in advance for your kind cooperation in this matter.

    Best regards,

    The Moneybookers Service Team

    Default cant believe

    cant believe no "thanks"
    no "rep"
    for this post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    lol "QUALITY"
THIS DOESNT ONLY APPLY TO MONEYBOOKERS THERE ARE PHISHING SCAMS FOR EVERY E-WALLET ON THE NET
plz ppl know what a nornal e-mail from your e-wallet looks like unique features of correspondance from your preferred choice.
DONT click on links in e-mails unless you are absolutely sure THEY ARE FROM WHO THEY SAY THEY ARE FROM.every e-wallet has things they send in e-mails that are unique.this is my third or fourth phishing scam email that i have recieved i caught them all immediately and repoorted them to security.some of my friends were not so lucky;i.e. had to change passwords and notify that their acct security had been breached !!!!!!!!!!!!all because they clicked on the link without thinking and said "why the f*** has my acct been suspended"
i cant stress how important this is after all its your money and details!!!!!!!!!!!
    i hope this helps

come on you cant rep someone cause they asked, wassamatta with you. LOL, j/k. Im gonna thank this guy after i post :-p. UNbelievable though, every where you turn theres someone trying to take your money... at least in poker you know theyre trying to take your money. The amount of these scams out there is fregging ridiculous, im actually not even sure how, even with your information, they plan to steal your money. Regardless im sure they have a way. I dont use moneybookers, but i do use ewallet, and I presume that theres is a similar scam somewhere, or there will be sometime for ewallet. Thank you for the post, definately some good info. This saying seems to get truer and truer as time marches on: "Only the fool drinks what is given to him". Always question whats in front of you!! Its an unfortunate thing to have to do, but all to often people are trusting of this kind of stuff and dont tihnk it through. Glad you did!
