At the second break, klinkman is out and I'm up to 28,380. Last hand my AhTh held against KT and Q10 off on a 5hAdKdQs6s board. I'm in 69th place, dudes (of 366)!

158,120 at the third break. Won a ton of chips with A9 against K10 and 10 4 on a AJT72 board. Woot go me! 17 of 54. And Klinkman told me I should note that this is Check-Raising the Freeroll, as the final table gets a copy of Matusow's book Check-Raising the Devil, and the winner gets their copy signed So no real money involved, but still a cool prize! Can you rail me now? Good.

Hand advice - On the TT hand with a limp in preflop make it 48k to go (4xBB). Otherwise the raise becomes easier to call for ppl with the extra odds on top with a limp already in, more outs e.t.c

On the last hand - FOLD!! Youve got a raise and a call, so your ahead of utterly nothing. With the chips as they are and you with 10x BBs, id MUCH rather see you going all in yourself with something like 910 or 56suited on a steal attempt, and then getting called by ATish and having a 60/40 race for it, than call with "any ace" when your 99% of the time drawing to 3 outs, nd 1% of the time drawing to half an out.

    Tourney thoughts - GOOD GAME!!

As an afterthought on the last hand.....

An arguament i can see you making when you get here is "It was a squeeze play". A bet designed to feign huge strength to pick up a big pot preflop without it going any further, hoping for folds etc.

If this is true, this is an impossible spot to squeeze, as one of them is guaranteed to have a biggish hand, AJ+ at least. 4 handed any Ace is gonna call your push here. With a min raise and a call your guaranteed to be behind to one of them, and if they both call odds wise against possible hands your at about 7-13% to win the hand.

Also if your assuming they might fold, with 240k each in the pot, along with blidns and antes, and then your push of just over a mil, they are easily getting 2-1 to call, with 3-1 implied if the other player does.

    Good hand to discuss tho

Thanks eejit for your posts, those are some good thoughts. I was definitely going for a squeeze there, and I can see why you'd say it was a bad idea.

Here's my next question- has anyone here ever gotten prizes in a tourney like this? FT has my address from when I signed up, but should I expect an email Monday to verify it or just expect it to get to me or what? If there's somewhere on their site that explains this, someone direct me there please? Thanks!

Yea EEj that is some really good advice. I had won a hat and a jacket from an ftops final table a few months back. After they confirm some stuff via email they will send it out. It took about a month from the time i won it for me to get it, so i presume it'd take you that long too. Even though it was a freeroll, its still tough to make it that far, so congratulations. I wasnt even sure that matusow could read let alone write a book, so i look forward to hearing when its about and if it contains any good information. J/k matasow is all right :-p GOOD JOB THOUGH!!

Thanks for the helpful advice, maxpower, I really appreciate it! Yeah it was tough but for quite a bit of it I was just running hot and being dealt great strong hands. Either that would happen or I'd get dealt absolute trash and have an easy fold. So that helps I think. But yeah, it's exhilerating to make it that far, even in a freeroll.

Ive had prizes from them too.

I was playing a $55 sattelite to a $219 event. I was at the same table as a FT pro, Katrina Jett i believe, may be wrong though.

I busted her by, IMO, brilliantly pushing 33 on a 3 A Q flop, first to act, with 600 in the pot and her having 2k back. She instacalled with AK, as i put her on that exact hand (that or AQ) and the rest wasnt a bad beat for once.

I won $55 bounty (which i got instantly) and a Tshirt for knocking out a pro, they sent me an email to confirm my address, i did, and i got it within 2 weeks

How soon after did they send the email? I don't think they do t-shirts anymore sadly though.
