    Wink Threads

well i was wondering i have been noticing that threads disappear as fast as they are posted. they usually last like 12 hours now we are lucky if they last 12 minutes. is there a purpose to this? not sure if it is something that is just happenening to me or ndn did u implement a faster turnover. is this for all threads that would be on forum. i guess it makes things easier to read but we have to do a little searching for other threads. lots of changes to forum. i hope it pays for u ndn.

I'm a little confused Glo Bug.

What do you mean by threads "disappearing" from the forum?

I haven't changed anything that would make a thread "disappear" from the forum....

Sometimes it's fun to search for old threads. You forget about them until you run across them and find posts you have never seen before.

not literally disappearing. i mean they dont stay up at new posts to long, not likie b4 when a new post would at least be seen for 12 hours under the new post icon.

As far as I know, new posts do not stay in the "new posts" section for 12-hours. I believe it's cookies based and they won't stay new for too long if you are on the forum often.

If you use the "Quick Links" section and use the "Today's Posts" link, that might be more of what you're looking for...

I believe threads stay alive on new posts if the are posted on since you visited last. If this is wrong then I am wacko or I am wacko anyway right eejit?

For me new posts stay in the new posts section until i leave the forum for a period of 45minutes.

IF u use the autolog on feature, when you navigate away from the forum, close firefox or whatever, itll keep you logged into the forum for 45mins, so if you come back the new posts will remain there, but if u dont come back, after the 45mins the new posts are old posts, and it tracks the new threads frm when u left!
