Six Word Memoirs.

As many of you know I am a writer for fun.

Well do any of you know what six word memoirs are?

The idea stems from a literary legend. We don't know if it's true, but as the story goes, Ernest Hemingway was once asked to write a story in six words. His response: "For sale: baby shoes, never worn." That's at least as good as The Old Man and the Sea.

So the idea is to right a life story of you or a life story for someone else to describe the epitome of the person in just six words.

I thought this would be a fun thread to have so I'm starting it out with one or two I wrote.

Here's the two I just wrote.

1. Rejection burns like fire on skin.
2. He feels like an autumn day.

Well there are the first ones please participate and let's have fun with these.

Okay so this may take a while for people to start posting so I'll just post some of mine that I wrote a while ago.

These were for a drabble contest over at a fanfiction site, but I still wrote them so I can put them here for you guys to all share.

Here it goes.

And just to let everyone know, these are for Jacob/Bella from Twilight.
Yes I'm 22, pregnant and married and a twihard, don't make fun of me for it.

So Jacob/Bella

One last thing before he leaves.
He runs until he finds it.
The day was sunny, grass dry.
The Zippo flicks and flicks, impatient.
The flame curls along and catches.
And so it flares, burning violently.
Jacob always hated that ****ing meadow.

If you read twilight you will understand, or if you saw it. If you didn't you can just appreciate the writing for itself, hopefully, lol.

And these are Jacob/Bella that I found off the contest that are really good. They are all livejournal writers although I don't have the names, some of them are anonymous and they are just great so I thought I would share them with you guys because they are really good and we have some great artists among us.

Jacob/Bella

He sees in her what he's missing.
No air, no sun, no purpose.
No second glances for second best.*
"Stay with me," and she leaves.*
He may have taken her body.
It is simply a cold shell.
It is her soul he wants.
He still remembers how she tastes.
Pain's bittersweet. At least she cares.*
Taking on the world, and losing.*
She trips, but they both fall.*

One day the heroin runs out.
She can't find the dealers anymore.
She goes back to being healthy.
"life used to mean something more."*
It never hurts to keep hoping.*
(On occasion, it’s actually worth it.)*
She isn't supposed to miss him.
She comes back. He's not there.
He fixed her. She broke him.
Only bitter tears and memories remain.*
Love you more: less still enough.
Edward’s perfect. Jake’s just glorious imperfection.
I pick the one with tomorrow.
Fought loving you so hard. Lost.***
Anything for you… you’re still his.
There are reasons to love me.***
You can live without him. You have.
Was here for you. (Still am.)
Dating vampires? Talk about unhealthy relationships.-lol love this!
Tell yourself the truth for once.

Now keep in mind, they were written for the Twilight Six Word Memoir Contest, but I think some of them are very good by themselves. Especially the ones I *'d. But that's just me.

And the ones I starred like this *** or **** I think would make for awesome prompts if only I could get off my butt and start writing. Sometimes there just isn't anything to write about though. And that part sucks.

Loneliness makes her a desperate housewife.

she asks, "you're the special one?"

“No one’s coming. Does it hurt?”

Stars correlate. He envies their luck.

He watches her walk away forever.
Sometimes she misses parts of him.

Their tongues clash. Same with personalities.

"She loved me first, you know."

It happens. Life isn't the same.

Just this once, she let him.

Someday, this might all be enough.

In some ways, this doesn't count.

Sometimes she still resents him. Rarely.
He wants to stop before marriage.

Being perfect doesn't matter much anymore.

They still end-up going to hell.

she cries at old love songs.
and he finds this somehow significant.

Happy endings are for story books.

"I'm sorry Leah." Doesn't change anything.

She doesn't want kids, he did

By losing, he's making amends too.

“Please,” she says, her hair upswept.

After she's even more like prey.

I'd follow you anywhere, he promises.

"You're worth it. You're worth more."

She's shattered into pieces. He's sorry.
This puzzle remains unresolved and problematic.

She feels happy. Different than before.

Forced ignorance won't postpone judgement day.

You lose battles to win wars.

Happiness laces tighter than wedding dresses.

It's better sex when you're angry.

She runs. She can't bear it.
She runs faster. Anything to escape.
She always runs. This she knows.
This time, it's because of him.
And she's never coming back. Ever.

She's always liked breaking the rules.

The seven deadly sins destroy them.
The virtues always escape them, somehow.

Forever sometimes lasts far too long.

"You were always just a dare."

She could never settle for normality.
Fiction's too much temptation to resist.
He loved her, too, you know.

Forever is a long time to be wrong.

The poison scars deeper than venom.

As teenagers, we were horrible jerks.
