Since the Scrabble high score is insane and would take hours to go after, I've instead invented a game for myself where I try to score 500 points on the first round. It's a good time killer at the college, gets my brain working, and fulfils any Scrabble fix I may need. An ancillary part of the game is to try to make the largest word you can make. I've been able to make a few nine letter words, like "acquitted".
