Pedros Chicken

A dark skinned man named Pedro was carrying his belongings in a
knapsack. The contents were a loaf of bread, a bottle of
wine and a chicken. Standing at a busy intersection,
Pedro suddenly darts into traffic. With screeching tires and honking horns,
he clutches his knapsack and his chicken and leaps into the air.
Everything is in slow motion as he lands one foot on top of a car hood
and leaps again. His foot slips, Pedros trajectory changes, he is now going to land on his head. Still in slow motion, the wine bottle is now tumbling
in the air above Pedros head. His chicken, looking lifeless, manages a gasp of air as Pedros grip tightens.

Why did Pedro want to cross the road?

HONK SCREECH CRASH
Pedro is struck by a truck.
As he clings to life and his chicken, Pedro exhales his last breath and says,
"freeeeee.........". His grip released and the chicken quickly scampers
away.

Moral of the story is:
The chicken always finds a way to get to the other side of the road.

the real answer as to why he wanted to cross the road was because he saw a bike he could steal lying on the sidewalk and naturally because he's dark skinned, stealing bikes is programmed in his genetics and he wanted to take the bike...it's as simple as that
