It's unfortunate that you weren't able to get any credit for your loyalty points.

At least the operator was polite and honest during the conversation. I am sure if it were up to him he would have given you a "bonus" but like it he said, that type of thing is really up to the management.

If you'd like to try further, you could always ask for the managers contact information and then write to them to see if they can do anything for you.
