I think we all know how bad it feels to be chip lead early on in the tournament and then get suckered out of half our stack, put on tilt, and then get out of the tourney one place before the money. To put it bluntly, it absolutely sucks... might be the second worst feeling I've ever felt ( first being when my butter is to cold to spread on a soft peice of bread) Anyway, my father and I did a little experiment with what he called "the power of sitting out". In a few tourneys when I was chip leading, he told me I should sit out, while in another few I only played aces, kings, and queens. In the few tourney's that I just sat out in, I actually placed considerably higher than in the ones where I only played those few premium hands. So Moral of the story is that you should just consider sitting out when you are in the lead early on in the tourney. Aces get broken way to many times.
