    Default questions about a hand

ok so kings was telling me about this hand he had today and i was jwing what everyone else would do in his situation

hes playing.05-.10 nl holdem and he gets K 9 suited a min raise preflop and 2 callers
Flop falls K and 2 low cards to his suit...a small stack shoves for a dollar....and a very agressive player calls...the guy had shown down some very weak hands in big pots and was pretty much a calling machine...its now on kings to act.....do u raise this pot or shooth call...b/c with a smooth call i makes it look like u have a flush draw....so if it hits you don't get paid off...but is you king good

in my opinion i would raise there prolly about a pot bet of 3 bucks...or open shove...idk i am pretty agressive with my top pair and flush draw ahnds....anyways the way it panned out the guy who shoved the dollar had a underpair and missed and the other guy had K 8 and rivered an 8....kings smooth called and checked it down

but what do you do there?????

firstly, cvant you ppl post hand histories?

Secondly, what were the stacks? Who had who covered.

Thirdly, why are we playing K9 to a raise preflop?

i played K9 suited to a min raise because this guy was in literally EVERY HAND...and i knew i was ahead...well i was pretty darn sure. and eric, the reason i smooth called was because this guy was REALLY bad at bluffing and i could probably count on him trying to make a play at me if the flush did hit on the river...which is just what i want, bait...hook...and Got'em! this is the way we reel our fish, reel our fish, reel our fish, this is the way...hahaha...needless to say, this guy lost his entire stack 2 hands later calling an allin with AT suited to QQ...then he rebought, and i splooged my pants, he only rebought for 5 bucks, but this is the same guy who called my Allin with 76offsuit, when i had AA, and i was ahead the whole way, and river fell an Ace to put the nail in the coffin...i typed to him "rebuy?" but he left...poor little buggah. soo 76 offsuit eejit, is why i played K9 suited to a min raise from this guy...let me look for the hand history...

Ok mike by smoothing calling you were keeping the pot controlled from a very aggressive player. second k9 can win a lot of pots but can lose more of the time....at least you were suited haha. i understand that this guys was playing every hand. Sometimes donkey ride the wave earl from gods...perfect example of a donkey playing every hand.

    you will get them today.

Depends what site your on. On most of them theres a button under requests or options int he lobby that opens your hand history folder, so simply find the tabel you were at and find the hand. On stars there is a button on the table itself, top left corner.

And kings, not being an ***, but even if he is raising every hand preflop, you are nearly SURE your K9 is ahead? You know about 840million hands beat K9 right? Any ace, better kings, any pairs, and its pretty much racing all suited connectors not including a 9, and any Qx Jx Tx hand.

Im still advocating you dont do this if you want to win consistently at higher levels, as people play like that on purpose for a bit to get you to stack off to them by calling with K9.

That being said if this is 6max i dont mind a raise from yourself with K9 in any position, and the same for late position in a 9-10 handed game.

It being suited makes no difference in the hand. Its like 1.7% extra on your basic odds.

Im not bothered about how you plat it really. But lets move up up a level.

Say this is $2$4, your sat with $300, the min raiser guy has $60 nd the other guy has $600.

He goes to $8, 2 callers, $26 in the pot.

Min guy shoves for $52. Big stack calls $52. Theres now $140 int he pot.

Your sitting there with the 2nd nut draw, and top pair bad kicker.

Reading at this kind of level is your guaranteed to either be ahead, or have 11 clean outs for the win. As he cant have AK suited in the suits on board.

Looking at it this way, id reraise to about $195. That kind of bet will get rid of people with KJ/KT, therefore picking you up the odds on overall equity against the guy who has bassically played crap hands.

If you reraise on the flop, K8 should fold, or at least get it all in behind.

Smooth calling is trouble, as yeah the flush might come, but if it does, how do you know it wont COST you money by it coming (as it gives him more chances of folding the way you played the hand)

    Discuss that for me?

Firstly, can't you use proper grammar? That irks me.

Secondly. There aren't 480 million hands that can beat K9 like you said. There aren't that many hands in poker to begin with.

    Aren't you overreacting a bit?

Just because you wouldn't play it, doesn't mean it can't be played, or shouldn't be played at all.

you dont have to copy & paste you can also screen shot and it dose depend on what site ur useing me in that situation i would half pot bet and pot bet the turn if its lower then a 9 but thats how i would of played it

and i also would of *****ed and complained if he got allthey way to the river

if he was betting it out i would of folded if i didnt hit my 9 on turn because nine is a horrble kicker
