On Tues. and Thurs. the girls wore red skirts and matching red vest with a white shirt and a scarf. Then on Sundays we wore a dress (freestyle) yea! Any way.... and the seventh grade year they let us wear freestyle dresses that were up to code such as length, etc. but it was nice that they were not uniforms. Nonetheless they were dresses so I can certainly relate when you say SICK of them.
Oh man yeah when I was in school we had uniforms and in elementary all the girls had to wear these horrifying plaid jumpers that were scratchy and warm as all hell, along with these awful middy's and sailor type ties. It took us until I was in the 6th grade to pass a resolution to get rid of that dress code, especially the middys that were the bane of every pubescent girl's existence! A lot of fun for the boys though I'm sure but god those things sucked. *shudder* The jumpers were indeed awful though. I am thankful that I no longer have to wear uniforms, but one thing is it did make it a lot faster to get out the door in the morning since you didn't have to think about what to wear!
