Default Movies That Made You Cry

If you have seen a movie that actually made you cry, please post it here.

I'm a big fan of movies that can play on your emotions so much to actually bring you to tears.

Please only respond if you actually had tears in your eyes! No one will think less of you for admitting it (well they will, but who cares).

If you are physically incapable of crying, do not post because you would be lying (and go to the doctor why don't ya)!

I have many (but they are not always easy to remember), but here are a few to start it off:

    Green Mile
    A Walk To Remember
    The Notebook

hey why so many movies with "the" in the beginning? becuz saying "the" at the end would be just wrong...lol....i crack me up
I cried in the Butterfly Effect. Especially the part where He leaves the note that says "I'll come back for you."

Oh man it makes me cry so much for some reason.

I remeber going to theater to watch the other sister....it was a comedy.....Ive worked with kids with disabilities/autism ....all they want is a fair shake ..... most people feel the need to categorize them and coddle them .... the people in the theatre i would say 80% couldn't laugh when the other sister made a joke..... I guess fearing that that would be considered rude .... the two actors in this movie were so funny the writing was right on....... there were some sad parts too ...so i cried too...but i hope that as the years have gone by that we are all growing towards a more excepting world ......different isn't bad.... just becuz a person cant communicate with you the way you want them to doesn't make them any less than you.... Good movie!

Default Movies that Make you cry?

I know we have a mix of girls and guys on here so I was just wondering what were some of the movies that make you cry?

I'll answer first. The first movie to make me cry was The Lion King. I was so sad when Simba's dad Mufasa got killed.

    Damn you, Scarr.

    Now who's next?

I thought I remembered talking about this, but I wasn't for sure. Didn't mean to start a repeat topic, I was just crying at a home and remembered wanting to know.

Totally forgot for real. Thanks for moving this to the right thread NDN.

I just read a book and cried like a big baby.

I am not a big crier, but I will admit I almost always get tears in my eyes in any movie that I see a dog get killed. LOL. Is that weird I am a huge dog lover and I cant stand to see dogs get hurt even on the silver screen. The Green Mile was an excellent book and just as good in movie format. I dont think I teared up but you would almost have to not be human to not get some type of emotional stirring from it another great piece of work Stephen King.

    Sleepers

This was on last night and I always forget about how great this movie really is.

While this movie didn't make me cry, it's an extremely powerful movie. If you haven't seen it - I highly suggest you rent/buy/netflix/download/Ondemand it today.

Everybody I've watched Armegeddon with cried and cried at the end, me i honestly don't think bruce willis brought tears to my eyes. I did however bawl like a baby everytime I've watched the movie "Project X" with Matthew Brodrick and the monkeys. Especially when the poor addicted monkey was locked in the room and getting radiated. He just wanted a smoke and they couldn't give him one... for real that was a very sad movie and at the end when the monkey got his freedom and left his friends......

My lil' guy cried everytime he watched ET... the very first time he watched it he wouldn't stop crying. His dad had to go and hug him and he kept saying "is ET going to be alright dad" that almost brought tears to my eyes watching my son being so sad that ET was leaving Elliot and going home.

A great movie I cried at is Radio. If you haven't seen it, it's about a mentally challenged guy that ends up helping a football team and everything.

Here's the description if that helps anyone.

Radio is a good human-interest story that was inspired by events in 1976 in Anderson, South Carolina. Cuba Gooding, Jr., who plays the mentally challenged Radio, does such a good acting job, you will believe he is the real Radio. His real name is James Robert Kennedy, and he was nicknamed Radio, because of his radio collection and listening to the radio all the time. Radio spends his days in this small town pushing or riding a grocery cart down the street, talking to no one. After some football players harass Radio, the football coach Harold Jones played by Ed Harris takes Radio under his wing. Radio begins to help out at football practice and sits on the bench at games. In time, Radio begins to trust the coach. However, some people in town think Radio is a distraction to the team, and they want Radio to go. By this time the coach and the team are all friends to Radio and they want him to stay.

I also cried this weekend at My Sister's Keeper but I think you guys know what that is about so I won't explain.

I absolutely loved this movie and so did both my girls. We watched it over and over. I couldn't agree with you more on the acceptance of people that are not as mentally capable as most in society. The acceptance in itself does a world of wonder for the one being accepted. This could truly make difference in their life. People just don't stop and realize that they are people too just like us. To be a part of something could be their reason today. To feel important and needed is sought out by every one not just the "normal." Good movie!
