Default Movies That Made You Cry

If you have seen a movie that actually made you cry, please post it here.

I'm a big fan of movies that can play on your emotions so much to actually bring you to tears.

Please only respond if you actually had tears in your eyes! No one will think less of you for admitting it (well they will, but who cares).

If you are physically incapable of crying, do not post because you would be lying (and go to the doctor why don't ya)!

I have many (but they are not always easy to remember), but here are a few to start it off:

    Green Mile
    A Walk To Remember
    The Notebook

I was going to say A Walk To Remember and The Notebook, so I'll add Mr. Holland's Opus and The Hours.

    Default Crying

I cry at almost every movie I see.
    However the movie that
I saw in a theatre that left everyone crying
walking out to their cars was:

    The Color Purple

If you are younger and have never seen this movie,
rent it tonight. Whoopi Goldberg in it.

Sorry my last post was like 25 years old.

The last time I cried at a movie is when my wife
wouldn't let me leave to watch another movie
when we took our daughter to see "Sponge Bob
    Square Pants Movie".

oh and Ghost ...the big chill

Why do we cry at movies? Washington Post film critic Desson Thomson, recalling his own waterworks watching emotional films, checked out some research to find out. Audiences weep out of empathy, according to one expert. Women definitely cry more than men (four times as much) and weeping releases internal toxins. People "literally cry it out," he said.
But another expert disagrees. If crying served as "therapy" then actors who cry on stage "would be the most psychologically healthy people in our culture, and we know that's not true," he remarked. Finally, a communications professor placed it all on a higher plane. "Tears aren't just tears of sadness, they're tears of searching for the meaning of our fleeting existence," she said. Now that's entertainment.

My favorite movie of all time is Shawshank Redemption. Yes, it made me cry and it made me appreciate my feedom. It made me appreciate friends that last a lifetime...far and few..appreciate them. My Dad always said, if you have five true friends when you die you are ahead of most. Cherish your friends and what offer to your life!!!

for me it was the notebook, titanic, ghost and old yeller. When the kid had to shot his own dog at the end it was just so sad.

TITANIC! I cry every time I watch this movie.

    Can't help it.

Anytime I need a good cry I put it in actually.

    Works like a charm.

Armegedon was such a powerful movie. I saw it when I was 14 or 15 I think. And it made me cry like no other. I love my Dad so much and even after it was over I couldn't stop balling.
