    Default papaya

ok so i bought one of these(papaya) in the store the other day ..never bought one ..have had papaya in dishes and a tropical salad before but never bough a fresh one.... took days to ripen and then when i cut it the seeds are all in this pulpy mixture like a pumpkin ... so i spoon those out...there is some woody looking fruit there by the seeds i cut that of and cut out fruit from out side shell ..cut it up in peices it doesnt taste bad but it doesnt taste good so why eat it ...I'm in the process of finding a recipe to use it in ...if not i see whjy it is put in a fruit mix it needs it i will mix it with some pineapple and juice for sure....any advice out there?

but then i find this in wikepedia ...man why are these allowed to existed ..check out this warning ...i feel funny having it in my house ..lol

Papaya is frequently used for hair conditioner but should be used in small proportions. Caution should be taken when harvesting, as papaya is known to release a latex fluid when not quite ripe, which can cause irritation and provoke allergic reaction in some people. The papaya fruit, seeds, latex, and leaves also contains carpaine, an anthelmintic alkaloid (a drug that removes parasitic worms from the body) which can be dangerous in high doses.
It is also commonly believed to induce abortions and is best avoided by pregnant women.
Excessive consumption of papaya, as of carrots, can cause carotenemia, the yellowing of soles and palms which is otherwise harmless.

yuk if u guys dont see me for a while ....CALL A DOCTOR... im lying out flat with no parasites but hideous yellow feet

So if you are allergic to latex are you allergic to condoms? Not trying to get too personal Tay, just curious. I would assume yes but you know what they say about assuming, right?
