Default Southern vs English - This one has the poll in it

Since I just found out EEJ is British this is in honor of me and him.

    Enjoy it.

Would you guys rather hear a British accent (eej) or a southern accent (KaciBlakely)

Personally I'd rather listen to the British.

But I hear southern accents all day long.

    It's who I am so.

Just thought this would be a fun poll to do though.

Being from Oklahoma, southern accents (especially from guys usually) tend to annoy me. But you know that I like the British accent already.

The southern accent annoys the hell out of me too.

I guess on guys they just sound like stupid drunk rednecks to me.

Well my fiance just has a Northern accent, so obviously I'm not too picky on NEEDING to be with someone with a British accent, lol.

    Northern.

So is he from New York or Boston.

Those are the sterotypical accents that come to mind when I think about it.

Then I could be completely wrong all together.

And as far as needing to be with someone with a British accent.

For my next husband that's going to be a requirement. lol.

I love my hubbyy- just no fancy accent.

Well, it's not that Northern, lol. That was probably the wrong description, given those accents. But he's from Iowa, so it's definitely a different accent than here. But according to most people, I don't have an accent, and I don't think I do either, so there you go.

Hey ya'll, I gotta go with the south since I live in Florida and all. It's about as far south as you can get and I love it. Florida is the best. A tropical paradise year round. As far as accents go, I get alot of them at the golf course from all around the world. It's neat to try and guess where they are from. Its amazing how many I get wrong but some of the accents are so similar.

I don't think I have an accent but I can certainly have an accent.

I've acted some and have to play a southern bell and I can definitely use it when I need to.

But other people think I have an accent though.

I'm from Texas and it's hard to hide that fact.

But it's not weird for me.

I obviously switched that. The British accent is definitely winning. My bad.

I'm married and not that rich. Out of luck with that one Eej.

I'm just going to agree with this and not comment on what it really sounded like you were trying to say. :P

Maybe so. I had to read it through several times to make sure I understood what he was actually trying to say and not what he most definitely implied. I'm glad it wasn't just me who thought that!
