    Default Online vs Live

I just want to get people's thought about online vs LIve poker......

Let me explain my side first: my first time i played poker it was online. i loved it, i mean all the action and i was winning when i first started on partypoker.......

then it got addicted because who is not addicted LOL.....

then i started playing live poker with my buds and it wasnt the same at all. i wasnt winning very much and i got out played all the time.
so i went back to the drawing board and read books around three, and my live game got good. then i went to a local bar and played poker there which was a free roll...i won acouple of times and then i started playing more live than online........now i am split 50/50

I think you need to play online to become one of the best poker player ever...just because its a certian type of poker that you need to know.....
i played a 10+1 1000 dollar guarntee last night. and first 20 hands someone went all in preflop or on thep 14 times...THATS A LOT how do you win when you dont want to risk a lot of chips early on in the tourney.....

so i came to the conculsion that LIve is So much better than online but you need the online part to win live poker.

let me know you thoughts i will be blogging all day so i will responed quick....

It's really all opinion based to be honest.

My personal opinion is that online poker helps you learn quick tells, push and shove, and other things.

Live poker is where I get the comradeship between all my friends and where I can be a smart *** without getting my chat banned.

So that's on my take of it.

live is wayy better than online, online poker is filled with alot of people who would get destroyed in a live tourney so to save face, they play online...dont get me wrong theres some good players online, but 90% are BAD

But to be fair that is also your opinion and you are definitely entitled to it but I have to disagree.

Tom "Durrrr" Dwan, is a good player and he started online.

So it's not all bad people and to generalize and say a lot is way overdoing it I think personally.

And 18 and up can play online but they can't play in live casinos, well most live casinos, so they play online so they can get there fix also.

live tourneys are way better. the reason is u get to put a face with the player. u get to see reactions such as people shaking when they have a good hand. the biggest tell ever. i like live due to the friends i make and the people i can talk **** to. online is never good unless u are a high stakes player. i say i am up over many years online but way up at live tourneys. i win way more and play more live then online. me and my buddys do a $75 buyin tourney every week. at this restaurant/bar and the 1st place pot is usually a grand then 2nd like 500 and 3rd like 150. 4th is your buyin back. great turnouts and the restaurant owner play and he gives us mexican buffet style foor for like $5. thats a deal for all u can eat gas bubbling food. its all preference.

yeah u are more than welcome to come and play the more the merrier. nah high stakes poker is different because more money to lose. the type of players are way better. imagine this u playin $5/$10 blinds vs playing $.5/.10 blinds. the players are way different. i mean u still are gonna get bad beats but the odds of people playing crap hands are more likely in the lower stakes. i dont play high stakes so i just live with what happens. i can usually tell when i am about to get beat on the river. it seems like the card stalls then boom 1 outer hits and i lose. does this happen to anyone else. happens mostly at carbon and FT. it makes me wonder.
