Who goes with the first pick in the draft?

The only one i know is Matt Stafford.

People are saying good things! Then again, doubting he will be as good a rookie in the dying Lions team, as the Atlanta QB was in their dying team.

well he will be the number 1 pick this year. they in the process of negotiating a contract with him. i read about it. if there are no snags in the contract process then he will be the 1st pick. detriot could be really go next year. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wishfull thinking. all i got to say is he better have thick skin because when they are still losing he is gonna be the scapegoat. poor guy i would screw up the contract negotiations just i so they wouldnt draft me.

And the first pick was : Matthew Stafford. However, I doubt he's the best player in the draft. I hope for his sake that he doesn't devolve into Joey Harrington, or waste his youth and legs with no offensive line like what happened to David Carr (who is a good quarterback) in Houston. The Chiefs jumped the gun drafting the guy they did at #3. They could have traded down and still had him plus other goodies and for less money. The Seahawks didn't take Mark Sanchez at #4 afterall, taking the kid everyone thought Kansas City was going to take. Maybe they were surprised he was still on the board.

all i got to say is why did the cheifs and raiders make those ****ty picks. good for me my local favorite team the 49ers got michael crabtree. woo hoo. well it was a weird draft after the top 2 went. raiders what a joke.
