Yep i agree with monst of your points eejit, I think that playing freerolls against the same players every night is so much different to playing these $20ish buyin events. I also think that the only way that you can make a decent profit is by at least 1 player making the final table every time. I mean if you say that you have 10 players playing a $20 buyin that’s a $200 cost. Now say that there is 300 players in this, that’s a $6,000 prize pool which if my maths is correct will probably pay less then $200 for a 10th place finish. Otherwise you will have to rely on the majority of the players making the money and this no matter how good a group is isnt likely.

Then you have the matter of paying back just 50% of the winnings, I would suggest paying back 100% of whatever you win, I mean this is all about getting money into a kitty for a 'team'. So why not pay back all the money that you win. You are then basically playing for free for longer. Poker for us sort of players is not about winning money, its about playing for the enjoyment of the game. How many players in this "top 10" can say that they withdraw poker winnings on a regular basis? By paying 100% back you are basically ensuring that there will be enough money in the kitty to play another game tomorrow, just as you would your own bankroll.

I also like eejit's idea of the satellite's into P/Stars $1mill, as most of you have hopefully seen I have been qualifyin like crazy for the last couple of weeks, it is easy due to the number of bad players that there are trying to take a cheap stab at the big one. If the top 10 were all to get 1 shot at it, even in a $5 rebuy with a rebuy and add on included (as i would always suggest rebuying straight away) thats only $15 for a $215/$530 seat. I would say that at least 3 players should make it which is $645/$1590 for a $150 investment. The when one player wins the big one..... thats not a bad profit for their $15 buyin.

I think that this is a great idea put forward but there definitely needs some sort of structure to it quickly otherwise you will be looking at it going down the drain very quickly. Eejit's idea of the top 5 + 5 others isn't a bad idea (again im not just saying it as im not in the top 10, as i am unable to play most of the week anyway) as the majority of players in the top 10 i would guess only play NDN's games and very rarely play bigger buyin's.

I think that we should as a group discuss what we want out of this idea and put some sort of plan together with NDN and quite quickly otherwise it could become very expensive.
