Okay all, were shooting for one more, this one with plenty of notice. However, I need the 10 to post if they can make Jet's $2k gtd on Thursday night by tomorrow, as NDN will be gone, an d will have to send the buyins early. eejit is subbing for NDN in this game and venom will for Bruner until further notice. Other than that, standard other 8 play.

Btw, there was a $600 overlay there today.

Well, top 20% pays (basically) in this Jetset, we had 3 guys in top 20% tonight (or close to it). So even though there isn't a BIG payout, with the extra money from the guarantee, it should be doable to cover the $200 entry...

I think we had about 3 guys in top 20% first try too.

Okay, one more comment on this... I think for long term, something like the UB $30 gtd $12.5k tourney might be a good option, because *gasp* I agree with some of what Eejit was saying in another post. If we have too many people %wise in a tourney, then it could be harder to make the money back since we're making up a big chunk of the pool...

So I guess these trial runs are a good test, then we can look at the numbers overall and try and figure out what's the best way to go.

More people in a tourney, less % of our money in pool, less people in a tourney, higher percent someone could actually win...

Thats why I want to start satellite play soon. I think there is a lot of money to be made through satellites.

One problem with sattelites borg, say 10 of us play on jet, after sig changing, theres 4 seats. We cant all win a seat, so say we get 1 or 2 of them, weve then spent say $20 each = $200 winning 1 x $109 seat. We need to play huge rebuy satts on stars for the satty thing to work. Like the $11r to the $215 sunday million

No, #1: NDN and I have discussed it, and we dont want rebuys.
#2: Its gonna take a bit of money to get someone into the million, then its gonna take them hours to get into the money. The odds just arent there.


Also, I wasnt seeing all of us getting into the same satellite, thats a partner with NDN's 5 person team idear.

The satty idea for jet is not a bad option at jet as there are 18 seats gart. with about 40 to 50 playing in them, so just have to get past a little over half the feild. Might be worht a shot, say give 6 to each player, as opposed to 20, 2 for buy in, 2 rebuy and a add on.

this is a satty to the $22. a better option, but i dont see the $$$ in the bigger ones

Sorry - hadn't been reading much of the forums recently...

I am in, though I think if we put that many people into the 2k, we have to crush it to cover the costs. Now the odds may not be as great in the bigger huge tournies like Pstars has, but not by that much. Most of them still pay 10% of the field like the smaller ones.

The nice advantage is that we don't have NDN players running into each other as much taking chips from each other. Which I think is a better spread, plus there is a chance of someone really knocking the cover off the ball.

I cant argue with the tons of money in a stars game, and the money we can bring in, but I personally refuse to play them. I have no deisre to play for 7-8 hours at a time in one tourney. If it happens that we go along those lines, I will cede my position to a sub.

I reached the max transfer limit for a seven-day period on Jet so I would be unable to do any transfers.

I'll also be heading to South Dakota tonight so it would be hard to get things going when I can't be around.

No, Im not going to go through it, the odds arent for it. I will take my time and slowly build my bankroll, and be fine with it.

And, as the buyin idea was nixed, tonight Scole and myself entered the $1500 gtd at poker.com, each doing well, out of 85 players, Scole had a decent finish of 17th, and I got $60 for a 8th place finish.

There is definately potential for this buyin idea to work, we just havfe to work out the kinks!
