Anyone do anything other than this? ANything think KQ? Anyone limp preflop? Anyone bet different?

Did you consider checking behind on the turn? The only hand you're giving a free card to is a set, and you give a hand like his a chance to get there and stack off to you on the river. I'm not saying that's the right way to play it, in fact I think I like the bet more than checking, as it gets some money in drawing dead and guarantees that you get it in on the river. But checking the turn should be considered I think.

Yeah, but checking behind on the turn only means either a blank river will come improving noone, or a bad river for me will come (Q or paired board) which then means i cant maximize on the river by pushing.

If i check the turn i then have less in the pot to bet on the river for.

If i bet the turn and he folds, then i prolly wouldnt have gotten more out of him anyway. If he calls, and notice i increased my bet, signifiying weakness IMO, then the pot is about right for an all in on the river, or close to it. Plus if he is going to hit a bad river card for me, i was to be commited so he hasnt got any bluff equity to get me out of the hand.

I think it was a very good play by you or whoever it was.

after the turn i would i bet around 400 instead, to see if he had KQ because if he had KQ he is price to shove on you. he would want to take the pot down a that point. but it was a good play and you won the chips.
