quesstion about a hand

I just want to get people's opinion on if a made a correct poker play to give myself the best chance to win the pot.


At a cash game with 8 players .50-1 blinds.......my reads were stay away from one player who is very strong and the other players were donks with money on the table.

I am big blind......two people fold and then one of the donks raise to 3 dollars some folds then the strong players makes it 8 dollars to go. small blind folds and then i look at my cards and i have KK, now my first thought was to limp and see a flop then shove. but I pushed all in preflop for 42 all day.

I figured the strong player had a pocket pair and the donk had Ax....

well the donk said to me i have pot odds because i know the other guy is going to call. lol so they both ended up calling.....

the donk had 66
the strong player had 1010


flop came 6 Q 2

so i lost but i feel like i made the right move to win the 12 dollars that was in the pot. i wanted the tens to call but not the sixes. let me know what you think.

yeah i totally agree with your play
the all in should hace isolated with the 1010 but it didn't
anyways you are in a situation where your opponents have only 4 outs between them so your in great shape
you didn't get your money in bad or a tace situation so i feel this was a good play

next time u will get them
like i said b4 you sometimes gotta give donks money so they keep comming back

this is a prime example of someone who doesn't know pot odds from their anus...
"well i know he's gonna call, so i have pot odds"...THAT IS THE STUPIDEST THING IVE EVER HEARD AT A POKER TABLE...AND THAT PERSON SHOULD BE TAKEN OUT BACK AND ROBBED OF THEIR MONEY then burned at the stake...

Kings is correct about the player not knowing odd from his anus. I gotta remember that for the next time I play. He didn't have odds to call, even if the guy called. He knew he was against at least 1 big pocket pair, which is 80/20 in favor of the big pocket pair. To make the call, he needs 39*4 to be in the pot. That would only be possible if 2 others were gonna call.
