I have the Zune (Microsoft's version of the Ipod) and it's fantastic!

I got the Zune because I was told it is far easier and quicker to put things on the Zune than it is the Ipod (and you don't need to use Itunes).

So if anyone is looking for an Ipod alternative, I highly recommend the Zune!

Yeah I don't regularly listen to too much of the newer stuff...I don't like stereotypical 80's music and most of the stuff after the early 90's I just don't like, except for groups like Coldplay. I was born in the wrong decade, I think. Oh well, I really think music like the Beatles and others will live on forever! And, you're welcome! I'm always open to new recommendations, too- so I'll be watching this thread to see if I can discover anything new; every once in a while I find a new artist I enjoy, or an older one I haven't really listened too much.

Do they even make ipods anymore? The Zune is SO much better I would have assumed Apple just gave up on the ipod!

Oh they DEFINITELY still make iPods, NDN! You should go to Best Buy or the Apple store and check some out, they have a new one that's almost exactly like the iPhone, called the iPod Touch. You can listen to all your music, watch movies and videos, and also check your email and download applications for almost anything! I just have a Nano, but I still love it. If you do decide to join us at the Lighter Side (we have cookies-the Dark Side is Windows!) and want to purchase an iPod, I would recommend getting one through Amazon.com. They run about 50-80 dollars cheaper there.

Hey eej- for some reason I can't seem to find the first recommendation at all, any ideas? Funeral for a Friend was okay, but I definitely like Muse I think! Which album or two would you recommend most?
