    Default hand

VENT: From the 2005 World Poker Tour Jack Binion World Poker Open

    The Flop
    The Turn
    The River

    OUTCOME
At the final table, fivehanded, with the blinds at 15,000-30,000 and a 3,000 ante, Negreanu raised to 80,000 from the button, Mizrachi reraised all in from the small blind, Negreanu called.

    ANALYSIS
Negreanu was offered decent pot odds for a race, but he was tampering with his chip position with his call. A loss of the hand would have left him short-stacked. The player in the big blind folded 8-7, so Negreanu was left drawing to one 7 or a very unlikely straight. Mizrachi could only watch as his opponent hit a one-outer on the river, eliminating him in fifth place, for $288,000.

without a doubt 89spades...straight flush draw, hard to get away from QQ too, bc you got an overpair, its almost like a reverse trap...dig it

89 in a heart beat. you have more outs to win the pot then the QQ's do. but QQ's dont need a card to hit to win the pot. i think i still would take 89 suited

It seems the 89 is the obvious choice for online for sure, live tho I prefer QQ.It probally wouldn't matter anyways for me ,I can always find a way to play it bad.

well i would not onlu have to be drawing a str8 but i would need the flush draw also. QQ is gonna win if u dont have those outs.

in this had the STATISTICAL favorite it obviosly the 8s9s but if your not a math person the QQ is still ahead....its looks to me like most ppl on this site are math ppl and woukld rather have the hand that is favored....i myself would rather have the math tooo.....i think its us internet guys who would rather have the math then the hand that is winning

the older guys would problbbly have the hand that is ahead...haha but that y they hate use young guns haha we take the math over the had ahead

that way i look at is would you rather take an exponetial gaution to rach 1000 first of the non exponential equation haha well gl all

    Default incredable

so at a freeroll at a local bar tonight and we are down to 4 table blinds 100-200

i get k 4 in the blind and have 3 other ppl in the pot

Flop 99 j....a hit or miss flop right????

So i bet out 400 and get a guy saying i will call 1 time

turn come j i again continue my sherades and bet 900
    the guy again calls

this time knowing the guy has nothing i shove all in in the dark
    and the river comes 4

he goes what is that like 1700 i go no its 2200

he then calls and flips of A 6 off

how do u make that call on the flop turn and river once i bet every street and shove in the dark????

I think it's far superior to raise the same amount with your big pairs as you do with hands like AQ, AK, 88, etc., because when you raise extremely small or extremely large you set warning bells off that you don't have your normal raising hand. By raising the same amount you disguise your hand, and if you raise them as often as I do they will have no idea where you are at.

I agree with your raising style but it also depends on position to how much i raise.
