Default Learning When To Walk Away

Ok, so I have been reading threads from people talking about their bad beats, but keep playing so I am going to talk about walking away.
I have lost over 20k at one sitting so I think I more then most should know when people should walk away.
First of all you need to think about a couple of things, and I'll state them here.
1.) Is it bad beats or are you playing bad.
This is sometiems the hardest thing to distinguish because most of us have an ego and we always want to blame it on the dealer, donkeys, etc etc. I hate to break it to you but WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES, we all play bad at one time or another. So you have to honestly make a decision whether you are playing bad or if its the cards running bad.
Take a walk, go to the bar, get something to eat, remember we are talking about cash games only here and in cash games they will not post yoru blinds if you are missing from the table.
So take a walk, do somethign to get your mind off it, then really think if its you playing bad or the cards falling bad.
2.) Will the casino, cardroom, allow you to switch tables?
If so I would suggest this if you come to the conclusion that you are playing well just the cards are running bad. Sometimes the change of scenarie(spelling) helps and I can attest to this.
    Lastly:
3.) Are you losing more then you can afford?
This is talking to the people who cannot set a limit. Do NOT bring more then you can afford. I remember when I won my first WCOOP event for a little over 36k and when I cashed out we went to Turning Stone and I sat at the 20/40 NL where average buy in is 4k. I went through 5 buy ins within 6 hours because I knew I could lose it. When you are playing for your rent money, grocery money, etc. You are GOING TO PLAY BAD, no ifs ands or buts about it because in you rmind every dollar that goes into the pot you are thinking how you cant afford it. If the answer to this is yes. Leave. Leave. Leave. Leave. Please. Please.
Alright everybody this is just my tips, feel free to comment.
    Thanks
    Ty

This takes dicipline. Its true with all gambling. I have never really had the problem of staying to long. There has been lots of times when I walked into the casino with 20$, lost in one bet and walked out. Its just setting goals. usually I will bring whatever I am willing to lose. If I lose it, Im out. On the opposite side... Once I double it, If I lose more then 20% of what I have in hand I walk out. This system has worked very well for me. Although not this month. Im down about 400$, but the 2 months before that I was up over 1k each month. This includes table games and poker Buy-ins. I havent cashed in a poker tournament in over 2 months... Playing about 3 times a month. (Today I played a 50$ buy in... Then took 20$ and won 40$ on roulette. So the tourney ended up costing me 10$)

Yes i understand, and i compliment you for your ability to walk away as it is tough, especially in the higher limit games.
When your playing for 20$ its not that hard to walk away because hey i lost 20 bucks oh well.
But when you sit at 20/40 and lose 4 grand your apt to buy back in and try to get it back like I did and that was my biggest problem but i am ok with it now. I am getting better.

Ya. I prob wouldnt ever allow myself to be in a position to lose 4k. If I lost that I would feel so low. But hey if I had the bankroll to take the blow of 4k (I would have to have like 40k to do that)... I prob would
