I'm wondering how many people are trying to get a roll to make a living and how many are playing for entertainment.

Right now for me, it's just for fun, but I know a few people trying to live off poker. If you're good enough I suppose it's not a terrible career to have! I'm definitely not good enough though haha!
Well I'm just a housewife so I'd love to be able to call poker my job. I just need to get my roll off the ground and start doing better.
most of you know i just play for the fun of it, if I didn't i wouldn't play
I make a living playing poker and to be honest wouldnt have it any other way. Me and my 3 roomates, 2 of which have joined already, 1 is going to when he gets back from his recent tournament, the 4 of us all play poker for a livign and its just the time of our lives. We have a great loft in cleveland looking over downtown, and we either play online all day, work out, play basketball or go on our roadtrips to new york to play at turning stone casino.
Most people ask how we could do it since its such a roller coaster ride, the answer to that is not very easy at all. It is very much up and down up and down but between the 4 of us we easily make it work. Our rent is only at about 6500 a month so about 1750 a moth for the each of us.
Its basically the perfect bachelor pad and we love it.
18, living on our own, playing poker for a living, how much better ca n life get?
I couldn't imagine playing poker for a living. To me it would take all the fun out of it. I wouldn't want to every have to worry about needing to win at poker in order to pay my bills. I love playing poker as a hobby. I play for the competion of it more than the money. The title of NDNPT Champion is much better to me than the money that would come with winning. If I can get a big enough roll at a few sites I'll try a few larger buy-in tournaments but that is as big as I'd like to go.
i think it is very hard to make a living from poker. u have to be super good and super lucky and this cases are rare. i'm not an excellent player, maybe that's why i have this impression. gl all and my respect for the ones who can make poker profitable.
