Lyrics or Rhythm/Music?

When listening to a song (not counting classical/instrumental/techno etc.), what is more important to you, the lyrics or the accompanying music? For me, there certainly should ideally be a nice balance between the two, ie. having a proper rhythm to fit the lyrics in question, but it is far more important to me for a song to have good lyrics. I pay a lot of attention to song lyrics, and my favorite songs are those whose lyrics hold a lot of meaning for me in certain situations.

Idealy my perfect song has a mix between the two. But if i had to choose a song for one of the other Im more of a lyrical guy. Lyrics are a form of are, a form of expression so its important to have great lyrics.

I'm definitely a lyrics girl because I believe you can listen to someones favorite song and learn so much about the person without having a conversation. Words have so many meaning and it's such a powerful form of expression so definitely. Lyrics for me.
