Professional Gamblers?

How many people on here consider themselves a professional gambler? recently I have started to hang out with 2 guys I meet playing poker at the casinos. They are both young guys like me. They are cool guys and everything but we kind of got into a debate last night about them being "Professional Gamblers"?...

They are both early 20's and I guess by default of the definition "professional gambler" they both are just that. Due to the fact they they both have no jobs and win money playing cards. However, one lives at home in his moms basement and is given money when ever he asks for it. The other one lives in a house left to him by his parents and has a trust fund or something that pays all his bills.

They are both half way decent players from what the regular guys tell me. However, they just seem to be diluted. They both talk how they have never had to get a job because they are so skilled at poker and how they have won several 5 figure tourney wins all around the midwest. However, when they started talking about being "self made" I had to say something.

I was just curious as to if anyone on here considers themselves a "professional poker player"?

My definition of that would be someone who lives off his/her winnings only with no other kind of income. Has bills to pay inorder to not be homeless or stay alive. Wins more then they invest on a regular basis... Someone who isnt as disillusioned as my 2 new friends.

a pro gambler is some who lives off gambling winnings and has no other income...your 2 friends don't seem like they are pro gamblers if their mother and trust funds are other ways of income
