this is how i see it
and a lot of ppl will probably disagree with me, but if i flopped a set, i would not check it!.. that just gives other people in the pot more of an advantage to get their outs. She had nothing when the flop hit whatsoever, so instead of checking your set..you should have bet..giving the incentive that you do indeed have set queens..she most likely would have folded because she didn't have a hand, she was betting on 2 hearts to come and by betting after the flop you would have eliminated that risk of her going runner runner on you. Personally i'am not too sure why she would have even played that hand 2,6 after the flop hit seeing that there was 2 queens on the board. but like i said thats just MY opinion, lol.

I'm not going to give my opinion of the overall play of the hand, seeing as I'm in a bad mood and don't want to go off without the cause to do so. With that being said, I have a different question. Being first into the pot, even though it's early position, why not raise it up? You can raise it to 2.5x the bb and make the bb have to call more, rather than check into the hand. This will allow you to make a continuation bet on the flop and more than likely pick up the pot without a turn or river that could hurt you. Just something to think about....

This is just a classic scenario of instead of someone trying to trap a mouse but the trap doesnt close when the mouse takes teh cheese. Then you go to check the trap to see why it isnt working and it closes on YOU.

Have to agree sand. Im an always check preflop (that's my poker face) good one huh? so preflop raise i wouldnt have done either. so I would have bet those queens (that said now i will have to not in next game just to keep u guys o your toes) ... but i so get the 2.5 bet (why i call those and enrage eejit)..ok another strat i must change up now....

so agree u checked to trap and you met up with a player passionate for the flush ...it happens. No need to give up poker ...just know that not all fair strategic(betting the turn to thwart the flush) playout out right.

Of course you were trying to get him to hit, but it could be devistating..

They only way for to rob him here is if he had a weaker set or if he had top two pair. You can never expect to get paid off in these hands.
