ok so after alot of bad beats, i dropped down in limits and im now playing the micro's .01/.02 to bankroll myself and im having some success, i went from 11 dollars, back upto 27 in a week, which is nothing to me as far as money goes, but whatever, here's how i did it...

one thing you have to realize is that people playing the micros will call a 3 bet with any ace...and any T/face card, so a .04 raise on .02 cents is nothing...so i played off of this and started 6 betting, and raising to .12 preflop...IN POSITION OF COURSE...at most, you will get one caller, and if you get two, you better flop a moster...from here on if the flop is hit or miss, or if you hit a nice peice of it, i bet pot...this is where i slowly work my way up to like 3-4 bucks(max buy in is 2$)...once i reach this point, i like to reraise people with drawing hands, and put them all in post flop, just plain bullying the piss out of them...

i always show a big bluff on people...for example, tonight, my 4th hand at the table, in middle position, i raise to .12 cents with J4suited...flop comes down 89T, i check...guy bets .10 cents into a .24 cent pot...i check raise him to .70 cents, he sits and thinks then calls...next card is a 6...i shove...he sits and thinks...and folds, i show him J4, and the table erupts...its great to do that so that you get your big hands paid off...and honestly, if he calls with two pair...i aint drawin dead, and it has showdown value to me because i raised with J4 suited...what do you think happens when i have aces...yep a .12 cent raise and im hopin to god that someone reraises me bc im putting them all in, and if they call they usually are BIG underdogs...one thing people dont realize is, i only get my money in preflop with AA and KK, but they see you buy pots here and there, and they think you are still doing it when you re-reraise them...its a great strategy...

another tip i have for the micros is that if you have a big hand...or you just think everyone is limping with crap...i usually count the pot...lets say .12 cents for example, and i 3 bet the pot...so .36 cents, again this may be 1/4 or more of your stack, but they take it seriously when you bet that much and they let go of JQ suited or maybe even KQ sometimes...its a great way to build up...one thing i cant wait to do is try this at higher limits...

my biggest tip with playing the micros NLH ring games is, most people who play them dont even have the bankroll for it, like maybe 5 bucks so they buy in and short stack themselves with a .50 buyin...ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK these wussies, they cant really do that much damage to you anyway...

my second tip is the people that play these stakes, like/love to limp into pots, or even 3 bet and smooth call 3 bets...DONT LET THEM...rise above them and outplay them. tonight i 6 bet with QQ right after i showed down a 6 bet with 94 offsuit and rivered trip 4's on a guy...he called and flopped top pair of J's with an 8 kicker and he bet right out into me and i reraise and he shoved on me...and there goes his 3 dollars...all thanks to the last hand showdown...NOW THATS SHOWDOWN VALUE TO ME!!!!

Mike
