I'm pretty sure it wasn't the right play because you lost the hand. It doesn't matter if he hit the river or not because you knew 2 more cards were coming and they could help or hurt you. By over betting the pot you didn't convey strength, rather that you didn't want a call. There is a good chance, base on my stack size, that I make that call too because I wouldn't put you on the mid pocket pair. Not only do your cards matter, but what your opponent thinks you have matters too. If I put you on AK and I flop bottom pair, I'm ahead and going to make a call, especially if your bet doesn't make sense with the board and the preflop action.

Seeing as anything I say isn't going to matter, I guess I will let you in on a secret I was supposed to keep. FTP is rigged so that EVERYONE sucks out on you.
