This should answer a lot of questions that people may have regarding friends or family that wish to have accounts on the same IP. Also, check out the botton part for what is considered to be collusion from the same IP.

Thank you for writing to us.

We do not like cheaters any more than you do, and take security and
integrity of our site very seriously. However, just because two players play
from the same IP address, does not meant that both user IDs belong to the
same person.

Seeing as, according to point 5.2 of our terms of service, each player is
allowed to have only one account on our site, and is not permitted to share
that account with anyone, there may be a few people, that play on our site
and live in the same house hold. As they are not allowed to share their
accounts, they will have to open one for each person that wants to play.
That kind of behavior is allowed.

What we do not allow, however, is players from the same household to play
at the same ring game table or Sit & Go with 45 players or less. Please note
that this restriction does not apply to multi-table tournaments or
heads-up matches.

We would like to encourage you to let us know if you are suspecting that
someone is cheating at our tables, or there is anything else we can assist
you with. We will do our best to help!

Thank you for playing at PokerStars!
