    Default PokerStars-cheaters?

Here are a number for emails sent to pokerstars

    First email,

Dealer: Game #5617808865: mcs9pilot wins pot ($7.75) with a pair of Queens
plz investigate hand pulls plug so he don't have to bet bs

    Pokerstars reply,

    Hello,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. I've completed my
review, and here are the results.

The first thing that we check in a case like this is the quality of the
player's connection. In this case, it's not too good - he's averaging one
disconnection every two hours in the past quarter, though it's been a bit
    better over the entire year.

In that quarter, he's disconnected 21 times. Five of those have resulted
in all-ins. This is a pretty good ratio - it shows that he's been
disconnecting when he has no money in the pot, or when he's at a no all-in
    table.

Of those five all-ins, two are suspicious (for example, holding bottom pair
on the turn after calling a bet on the flop with the same hand), one is
neutral (he is facing one and a half bets preflop with an OK hand) and two
are exonorating (like when he is facing one bet on the flop with top pair
    second kicker).

The hand you noted is quite interesting. He's facing under half a bet (as
it's an all-in) on the turn whilst holding nothing but queen high. If he
thinks a queen or three will win for him - and he thinks that on the flop -
it's actually an exonorating hand, as he has odds to call and therefore
wants money in the pot. More to the point, if he is disconnecting every
time in very marginally favourable situations, we would expect to see a lot
more than five all-ins from the last 21, and a lot more than one
    disconnection every 2 hours.

Based on that fact, the relatively consistent nature of his connection
quality, the good ratio of all-ins vs. disconnections and the well-balanced
selection of hands when he went all-in, I conclude that mcs9pilot isn't
    abusing his all-in privileges.

As you can see, these cases are based on a balance of probabilities. We
can never be 100% sure whether a player is abusing his privileges or not.
An innocent player may "unluckily" be disconnected twice whilst holding a
flush draw and not quite the requisite calling odds, whilst a guilty player
may "luckily" be disconnected whilst holding the nuts. There is an element
of chance in this kind of case, and so I have noted the outcome of this
review on his account and will check back in the future to see if he has
    had further all-in disconnections.

I hope that I've set your mind at ease regarding not only this player, but
also the seriousness with which we take the integrity of our site. If you
have further queries, please do not hesitate to let us know.

YA SO WHAT? YOU CAN NOT TELL ME WITH 100% SERENITY THAT HE DO DON'T DO IT
THAT HAND.you say he had odd with q 3, he'd have odds holding to BRICKS,What
does that have to do with anything? DID he or DID he NOT with 100% serenity
disconnect himself? IF pokerstars can not answer the question with 100%
serenity then a refund is DEMANDED on that hand.......you can get it back
    from your coolers and cheats.

    Pokerstars Reply,

    Hello,

You are correct, we can not be 100% certain that they did not
intentionally disconnect on that hand, although it seems quite unlikely.

What I can tell you is that even in cases where we are 100% certain that a
player did intentionally disconnect we do not generally provide any kind
of a refund. The reason for this is because it is rarely certain if
the "victim" would have lost more or less on the hand had the other player
played the hand out to its completion without one player going all-in.

I am sorry, but we will not be able to offer you with any type of
    compensation in this case.

Please let us know if we can help you with anything else.

    THIRD EMAIL SENT,

WHAT KIND OF BS REPLAY IS THIS??????
EVEN IF YOU ARE CHEATED POKERSTARS WILL NOT GET UR MONEY BACK! BECAUSE YOU
WOULD HAVE LOST THE HAND ANYWAY?
WHAT KIND OF MORONIC THINKING IS THAT FOR A ON LINE POKER SITE, I GUESS IT'S
ALL ABOUT THE RAKE ,ADVERTISING,RIPPING OFF THE PLAYERS...... YOU DON'T CARE
ABOUT THEIR SECURITY. IT'S FINE I'LL JUST POST ALL THAT YOU HAVE SENT ME ON
AN ONLINE POKER FORUM' I'LL ASK THE PLAYERS WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT POKERSTARS
    GREAT NON-PROTECTION POLICY.

no reply necessary it all going to be b.s. away I don't have anymore time
    to waste on pokerstars

    YET ANOTHER POKERSTARS REPLY,

    Hello,

I am sorry that you feel this way. The policy at PokerStars has always
been to be fair to our players regarding our games, and it has been my
experience that PokerStars goes above and beyond what one can expect from
    most other poker sites.

When trying to determine what is fair for all-in hands, we also have to
determine what is fair to our company. Afterall, if we had a policy where
we refunded every player their money every time someone lost their
connection, that is not fair to us. A policy such as this would leave us
wide open and in fact encourage fraud amongst by players who would simply
disconnect in our high limit games.

We feel that our policy as it stands now is the one that is the most fair,
especially in cases such as this one where there is very little evidence
to suggest that the player was disconnected intentionally.

    Final email sent,

STOP WASTE MY TIME WITH EXCUSES...NOT FAIR TO POKERSTARS? REALLY! IS IT FAIR
THAT POKERSTARS TAKES RAKES FROM HANDS THAT 2 PLAYERS HAVE MONEY IN THEN
SPLIT POT? TO BAD FOR POKERSTARS ITS YOUR CONNECTION, YOUR GAME, BUT YOU
STILL BEAR NO RESPONSIBILITY, THAT'S FINE! **** YOU,
    **** POKERSTARS.
THERE ARE LOTS OF PLACES TO PLAY ONLINE POKER.

I'LL BE POSTING ALL I HAVE SENT AND RECEIVED FROM POKERSTARS ON AS MAY
ONLINE POKER FORUMS AND FORUMS THAT I CAN FIND..........LET THE OLD PLAYERS
KNOW AS WELL AS NEW PLAYERS, HOW POKERSTARS FEELS PROTECTING CHEATERS IS
CHEAPER FOR THEM, THEN MAKING SURE MY MONEY IS SAFE FROM CHEATER AND

PokerStars is the best site around for support and cheating abuse. Everyone knows this. If they even suspect something, they clamp down straight away.

From what i can tell you lost the hand and wanted some compensation.

I did not pay enough attention to the chat to get the full details of the bet, however, please try to keep all bets private between the parties that were part of the bet.

I will add that I think all bets (if agreed upon) should be paid.

I am going to bed... please wake me up telling me all this fuss is over nothing, and people with $0 money believe they can bet $100 and actually get paid if they win.

    News - I have $0 on PDC.
More News - So do you (and u havent denied it)
More news - If we were really doing a said bet. Id have done the following.

    1 - Sent my $100 to NDN.
2 - Got you to send yours to NDN.
3 - if thats not possible, get you to sit at a table with over $100 to prove you have it.
4 - Played properly, with no bounty jokes, smack talk or anything.
5 - Not have been making fun about it at the table.
6 - Definatly not have done it at a table where IMO, the entire forum would be wanting me to win. Id have done a HU game.

If anyone else still believes this is a serious bet, please post.

I figured it was a joke from the beginning. Starting a bet with two people when they don't have equal chip stacks makes no sense. Obviously Mazzie got more serious once his chip stack grew, then started saying that we were dumping chips to eejit. I thought that was ridiculous in itself. Once that comment was made I really stopped caring about the bet.

That being said, I would love to see a heads up match between the two of them. It doesn't even have to be for cash. Sit at a play money heads up table with a full stack of play money and play until one of you wins. The only thing at stake is bragging rights.

USCTrojans and I had a similar bet during football season. I lost and had to have my signature read what he wanted it to for the remainder of the football season. Sure it was embarrassing but it was fun too. And I won both loser's leagues anyway, lol.

crap, and here I was cheering for you to win.

and if history is any indication.... I'll probably bubble, definitely won't cash, but might bubble.

I dont understand i never laughed about the bet or said there was chip dumping, i said he was well liked, and i bet when i was down in chips almost 2 to 1 and i was confident i was better than he was he tried to play it off as if the bet was a joke as i gained a chip lead over him and eventually destroyed him. We both said deal and had a witness.

This post has seem to got a little of topic... My answer to the post... Pokerstars is a buisness to make money with no kind of federal oversight what so ever. You know this when depositing. Stop crying. You lose. You did it... Do they care this happened to you? No. Will they investigate this for the type of money you were playing? No. Do they give a shiiit about you? No. SUPRISE! your stupid... Why don't you try to get a refund from the crack dealer down the street next..... See the Poll thread for my answer to the bet issue. Thank you and you welcome

You're not really going to get an answer that your looking for. They will never admit to you that they or for the most part anyone else is cheating. The reason being is because, what can they really do? Go arrest them? A new computer and a new Ip would be initiated before the response reaches the inbox. Enjoy the games offered, if you're not satisfied, switch tables. I believe that there are plenty to choose from..

Lets stop this arguing everyone, its just gonna lead to a bunch of boo hockey being put on here that NDN has to clean up and that isnt fair to him, so lets just stop the babying around and stick to the subject.
